The veterinary profession is experiencing a burgeoning workload of new pets obtained during lockdown. This combined with a severe shortage of vets and nurses has placed an enormous burden on veterinary practices, and in order to keep their heads above water many practices have not been accepting new client registrations.
We have been fortunate to retain a full staff compliment up until now but with one vet leaving us to go travelling we find ourselves in a position where we will now not be able to accept any new client registrations. We also anticipate that the waiting time for appointments to see a vet will also increase.

Services
We are a friendly, small animal veterinary practice situated in Honiton and Hemyock, Devon, having been established for over 30 years, serving both the local and surrounding towns, villages and farming community. Unlike many larger vet practices, you can normally see the same vet each time you come to the surgery and ensure the continuity of care for your pet.
Day operation patients are usually admitted between 8.30am and 9.00am or at other times by prior arrangement. Your pet should not have anything to eat from 8:00pm the night before the procedure, unless specifically advised otherwise by the vet. Operations are carried out in the morning and your pet will usually be allowed home the same day.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
As pet owners, we endeavour to make sure that our faithful companions stay fit and healthy, enabling them to live to an old age. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as us and at some point, we will have to prepare to let them go. Sadly, few of our pets pass peacefully away in their sleep. Therefore, we all wish to do the right thing at the right time, fulfilling our responsibility and commitment in their final days.
We've partnered with Video Vets Now so you can speak to a vet from home or out and about - 7 days a week between 8am and 11pm. Consults are 10 mins and cost 24. If your pet needs to be seen by us or Vets Now, your original 24 payment will be refunded. We partnered with Video Vets Now to help you get the advice and reassurance you need, wherever you are.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness
There is never a problem getting an appointment. I have 3 pets and the care and attention they receive has been second to none. When my lovely cat of 10 years had to be euthanised even though it was under Covid restrictions he (and we!) could not have been treated more kindly, with more compassion.
