In addition to your eye test, we are able to offer Optomap retinal screening, which takes a closer look at the health of your eye and can be an early detector for several diseases and health concerns that affect the whole body, not just the eyes. A retinal screening using Optomap takes seconds and is pain free.

The Bradford, Airedale and Craven Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) uses the skills of Optometrists in the community to see and treat patients presenting with a minor eye condition. Management will be maintained within the primary care setting for as many patients as possible - avoiding unnecessary referrals to hospital services.

I find Paul Verity Opticians of Ilkley very helpful on all counts. At reception they are quick to understand your needs, and when fitting specs they take time to consider what best for a comfortable fit. I am very happy with the service, and I'm at the moment awaiting for my third pair. Give them a whirl, and I'm very sure you'll be pleased you did.

I attend the Otley Branch of Paul Verity Opticians, and have done so for many years. Why? Excellent Customer Service, friendly knowledgable and helpful staff. Very honest advice about my choice of glasses. The eye examination is extremely thorough and each check is explained clearly by the Optician, as are the results
of the test, who not only puts you at ease but is also very pleasant and helpful. It rally is worth trying this Opticians as both the Shipley and Ilkley shops have the same standards of excellence
