Oracle Opticians was first established in 1980 by Michael Leaver, who was also involved with the Bradford and Airedale diabetic retinal screening service. In 2008, our current owner Arif joined the service. Michael and Arif worked so well together that when Michael retired in 2013, he asked Arif to take over the running of Oracle Opticians.
When it comes to your eye examination, you might think that the main purpose of this is to test how well you can see. While this is undoubtedly a major part of the assessment, your exam also allows us to fully check your eye health and ensure there are no early signs of any problems. During your eye test, you will be asked to complete a number of exercises.

In much the same way as you might have short term (sunburn) and long term (risk of skin cancer) effects of sun exposure to your skin, there are also similar impacts on your eyes.
