This is an exciting time to be involved in education in Scotland, at present we are moving through a curriculum change for Nursery, Primary and Secondary Education; with Primaries at an advanced stage in the process. In recent years schools have been grappling with the best approaches to maximise learning potential through Curriculum for Excellence (CfE).
Beauly Primary School offer a number of lunch-time and after-school clubs, which are listed below. We are also proud to have good links with providers of activities for children throughout the local community. If you are aware of other activities that we can promote, please contact the school with details.
The Beauly LEGO STEM Club is underway and to kick things off everyone made their names with LEGO. Finally this week we briefly introduced the idea of bridge design, the task was to create a bridge between two tables that could support at least one standard house brick. Time was against us so well thought out and built designs were not implemented but next week we will hopefully complete some amazing bridges.
Beauly Primary School is proud of how smart our children look in the lovely dark green sweatshirts. Our intricate school crest shows the intertwoven letters 'B' and 'S', crafted to look like a tangled fishing line attached to a fly and barb, which has been used to catch a salmon. The letters 'B' and 'S' were selected as the school site housed both a Primary and Secondary school in the past, not just the Primary that we have now.
