As we come out of lock down, and people having had both vaccinations like Carl, take the positives and enable it to help you move forward, use the experience to know what you have missed, what do you want to change. I look forward to seeing you soon. Hypnosis is a natural occurring trance state of mind.
Everyone experiences trance in moments of daydreaming, intense concentration, and when entering and exiting sleep. Hypnosis does feel very nice and relaxing, almost like taking a nap. You don't go unconscious, have total amnesia, or surrender control. You do usually become very deeply relaxed. Hypnosis can also access inner resources for creativity, insight and growth.

Your first session will focus on gaining an in-depth understanding of why you are seeking hypnotherapy. The session starts with an overview of hypnosis and how it is used, followed by the opportunity to discuss any questions the client may have about the process.
After the introduction, the client and therapist will have an intensive conversation about the client's specific issue, focusing on past failed attempts at change and reasons why the behavior persists. The therapist will then induce a light trance that allows the client to explore their unconscious for ways to change, while helping the client tap into their internal resources for making the change.

Hypnotherapy is a form of complementary therapy that utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The process itself aims to alter our state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focusing the subconscious part.
Anxiety and Stress can be paralysing. It can keep us from making friends, putting ourselves in social situations, or moving forward in our careers. Even more than that, it is extremely uncomfortable, interfering with our everyday lives and sometimes even our health.
Anxiety can be experienced both Somatically such as with our racing heart, shallow breath, and other anxious bodily reactions and Cognitively through our thoughts that something terrible might happen, or worry of what others think of us, and our reactions to our anxiety often exacerbate the symptoms. Our reactions to anxiety may lead us to developing a drinking problem or overindulging in food.

You'll probably go through all these stages, but you won't necessarily move smoothly from one to the next. These feelings are all perfectly normal, the negative feelings don't make you a bad person. Lots of people feel guilty about their anger, but it's OK to be angry and to question why. Some people become forgetful and less able to concentrate.
