Services
At Helen Gibson we strive to provide a stable, happy and stimulating environment which will facilitate a smooth transition from home to school for both parents and children.
We aim to offer the children opportunities which will enable them to develop those skills which are required for effective learning; thereby allowing them to develop to their full potential whilst engaging with the fundamental values in Britain which supports mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs, developing and demonstrating skills and attitudes that will allow our children to participate fully in and contribute positively to life in modern Britain.

We have four children in receipt of Early Years Pupil Premium. The main two barriers for learning are speech and language development and Personal, Social and Emotional development.
This year we recognise that many of our children find being in school after such a long time at home difficult which is why we aim to support children's mental health through a rich curriculum which promotes independence, resilience whilst developing the ability to communicate needs effectively.Through daily reflections and sequential planning, we can ensure children reach their full potential in a safe and secure way.

Hello my name is Eileen Thompson. I am Chair to the Governors at Helen Gibson Nursery. My involvement started when my daughter (who is now 27!) started at East Boldon Infants. At that time there was one governing body covering all East Boldon Primary schools but successive governments have insisted each school now has its own.
We are an Out of School Kids Club catering for Children between the ages of 3 - 11 Years who attend Helen Gibson Nursery, East Boldon Infants and East Boldon Junior School. As we are a "not for profit making organisation" we are able to offer very competitive rates for childcare within the local community.
It will start at 3pm and finish at 6.30pm. We have an entertainer booked from 4-6 who has lots of amazing party games in store for you and the children. We will be running a raffle, playing a pub quiz and so much more. There are also lots of prizes for the children too. Bring your own nibbles so get those sandwiches and cakes at the ready.
