We are extremely lucky at Clervaux Nursery School to have a well established site where our Forest School sessions take place. Our outdoor area enables our children to participate in engaging, motivating and achieveable tasks and actvities in a fabulous woodland environment.
We have a Forest School Leader who is responsible for the planning, delivery and risk assessments and we also have two of our key workers, Beverly Stephenson and Jacqui Westhall who are also fully qualified Forest School Leaders. The Forest School ethos is at the heart of everything we do.

This year we recognise that many of our children find being in school after such a long time at home difficult which is why we aim to support children's mental health through a rich curriculum which promotes independence, resilience whilst developing the ability to communicate needs effectively.Through daily reflections and sequential planning, we can ensure children reach their full potential in a safe and secure way.

Forest School is an exciting part of our curriculum that all of our children have access to for one two hour session a week. It is an area which wraps around the School building, where our children can build dens, explore seasonal changes in the environment, look for wildlife and mini beasts, use tools, take risks and cook on a campfire.
Huge thank you to all the children that joined in with our Easter egg competition this year. The children also identified which chicks were girls and which were boys and helped feed them each day. Lots of dancing, smiles, games and treats! All the children join in to celebrate the birthdays that month and have such a great time.
