Good location but uphill from the town. It was ok but not brilliant. Plenty of free parking round the back. Room needed updating, and matresses wasn't very comfortable. Bedding, duvet and covers definately need replacing as old and thin and cover dated. Lovely breakfast with lots of fruit as well as the usual. Staff helpful and friendly.

Its not a 3* its 0* hotel ..I advide do not book this hotel.. I had very bad experience.. they gave me initially 1st room but I couldn't open the window and temperature goes above 27...
Then I ask to change my room and they said they dont have any room available. After this kind of answer I replied I will book another hotel and within 5min they turn up with another room availability...
They moved me another room but this room very noisy because main heating system passing through this room..

Stayed at the Glen Orchy whilst filming a wildlife show in the Shetlands. The owner and her colleagues are some of the most hospitable, welcoming people you could meet. Meal sizes were more than generous and they even threw us a leaving party before we checked out on the last night and provided a glorious thai feast to send us off. All very homey and down to earth, a lovely reflection of the landscape.

Lovely B&B run by lovely people. My colleagues and I stayed here for a week and were blown away by how friendly, accommodating and thoughtful the staff and owners were. They bent over backwards to help us - providing packed lunches, meals at special times of day, extra storage rooms and much more. The location is great, a short walk from the harbour, shops and good restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious and generous. Highly recommend for tourists & business travellers.

My adult Son and I took the trip of a lifetime and that included visiting the Shetland Islands. We stayed at the guest house for three nights while we roamed the islands with our rental car. (Rental car recommended to really see the sights!). Our visit at Glen Orchy was delightful. Though we weren't around much, we had breakfast in the morning and dragged ourselves in late at night to the most comfortable beds. The staff is wonderful. The proprietor is very nice and Diane, the assistant staff manager is just plain delightful with a wonderful welcoming smile and a great sense of humor. I really
