Village Green Care Home

Having read the reviews I was a little hesitant at first for my step father to be coming here for end of life care. He wanted to come here as it was the closest one to me, so wanted to give it a chance. Having not been to a care home before I’d not known what to expect. Once he’d settled & we’d both got used to how everything works etc it was great.
All the staff that had helped in his care & some that I’d just got used to seeing through being there every day for nearly 3weeks were truly wonderful! They made me feel so comfortable & that if I or my step father needed anything they would

I went for a job here ,complete jokers,bit like the care aswell as I've heard,if you care for loved ones then don't bring them here

My dad, uncle and aunt are all at the Village Green care home. My dad has severe dementia and is looked after wonderfully. I know my dad would appreciate how he is being looked after if he was able to speak. No one wants their relative to end up in a care home but honestly I am happy for him to be here. All the staff are happy and know everyone’s names and talk to them and spend time with them. The home is always thinking of new ways to improve the life of everyone staying there and new activities are added all the time to keep everyone entertained. The home is kept very clean. My mum was transferred to village green care home on Friday last week to receive end of life care. I called early on Saturday morning to ask if her night was comfortable and was told that Mum had fallen from her bed and was found sitting on the floor. Mum passed away later that day.
If your loved one is very poorly please don't take them to village green care home.

As a family, we simply cannot fault the facilities, the staff and the care that my Dad, Reg, received whilst living at VIllage Green.
His story there is a long one. After much searching, the original Old Village School was chosen as his place of care. Great staff, good facilities, a bright and airy place - all we could have hoped for. During his time in their care, both as a respite unit and one of permanent residency, his care was second to none - we had no issues with the home in the slightest. Visited family over New Year and found the home clean and bright. Very caring staff (could do with more!) manager was extremely helpful and welcoming. Very happy my aunt is settled here.

If you still care for your love ones NEVER put them in this HELL nursing home! It close before so im pretty sure it will shut down again soon! SPREAD the word!

I recently visited here to see a family member who I thought was being looked after by the care team. Upon arrival they was unaware of the whereabouts of my relative.... clearly worrying. After finding her in a confused state none of the staff reassured me she was okay. After spending some time with her it was obvious either they are unstaffed or the management need better training as care was lacking considerably.

Lovely caring staff and a beautiful clean bright environment. Would definitely recommend
