Leasowes Primary School
At Leasowes we pride ourselves on creating rich and exciting learning experiences for all children. All learning is rooted in our school values, providing the foundations that we try and live by every day. Coupled with our school motto, 'Together we Learn. Together we Grow' we ensure that children become empowered learners, who flourish and thrive, preparing them to meet their future aspirations so that they will succeed in life.

At Leasowes we have a hard-working and dedicated team who have high expectations of the children. Through our inclusive curriculum, we encourage all children to continually challenge themselves, embracing their mistakes and working together to make the greatest progress and academic achievement.
Services
Leasowes is a two form entry Primary School situated on the outskirts of Stafford and serves mainly the Baswich and Weeping Cross areas of the town. The buildings are surrounded by extensive playing fields and environmental areas. To maximise our use of these areas we are a Forest School where a considerable amount of our learning and cross curricular activities is completed outside.
Leasowes Primary School provides excellence in education where children flourish and reach their full potential. Learners are inspired to work collaboratively, developing a life-long love of learning in a safe, stimulating and vibrant environment, where positive development of mental health and wellbeing is encouraged and supported.
We have four parent governors, one staff governor, three co-opted governors and Mrs Bettany our Headteacher. As Governors, we work closely with the school by providing support, challenge and helping to set the strategic direction of the school. We also monitor and evaluate the work of the school and help set priorities for improvement.
At Leasowes we are continually looking for ways to inspire and engage children in their learning particularly using the outdoor environment. Making the most of our enviable grounds, we have three Level 3 accredited Forest School leaders: Mr Rock, Mrs Carr and Mrs Rowell. This year Mr Rock will be leading Forest Schools alongside Mrs Carr and Mrs Rowell.
I have been working as SENCO at Leasowes for a number of years and have recently become SENCO across our Academy Trust. As SENCO I am responsible for overseeing the special needs provision at the school. I have an honours degree in Special Educational Needs and a Post Graduate Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties.
