Services
Set in 125 acres, Dainton Park was designed by acclaimed golf course architect Adrian Stiff, and commissioned in 1993. It has matured into one of the best golf courses in Devon. At 6,400yds off the competition tees, Dainton Park can cope with all manner of tournament golf.
So much so, in 2016 it was selected by the Devon County Golf Union to host the Devon Amateur Championship, which saw the very best local golfers competing for the county's most prestigious title. But off the yellow tees the golf course is much more manageable for the regular golfer. At 5,772yds it is still a test, but there are far fewer carries over water and rough ground compared to the elevated back tees.

Prices are based on a minimum of 12 golfers. Further discounts are available for larger groups, Captain's away days and charity golf events. 29 and 36 hole packages are also available on request. I booked a round of golf at Dainton Park while on holiday in Paignton. What a fantastic day from the time we arrived, everyone was so friendly!
Our aim is to challenge the perception of traditional golf membership and break down barriers within the game. Therefore we offer flexible memberships as well as traditional and corporate memberships. As a member of Dainton Park you will also become a member of the Devon County Golf Union and England Golf, and as such you will receive a County Card, providing the opportunity to play on over 1200 courses in England at discounted green fees.
All our coaching facilities are open to non-members, aiming to make golf accessible to everyone. And we guarantee utilising them will improve your game! Drop us an email with your phone number to request a call back from one of our teaching professionals. Every Saturday morning our teaching professionals are introducing new children to our amazing sport.

Great location but the once good restaurant since covid has gone down hill. Many of the old good staff are gone and one of the male staff members left is very unpleasant.
The quality of the food is now very average and the menu is limited and on multiple visits our hot food has been served luke warm to cold.
My daughter is a vegan and sadly the chef found that very difficult to accommodate which in 2021 is crazy. And their vegetarian options are extremely limited.
Desserts are nice as we're the drinks. But the price is quite high with lots of extra costs.
Very dissapointing compared to what

4 rounds in a row, we always hit heavy traffic going into the back 9 of the golf course. 2 groups have been amazing and let us play through, we then get to either the uneducated, or just plain stubborn golfers… who we met constantly at the next tee. If you’re not too bothered about this, the course is great with some challenging holes, but the level of etiquette is really disappointing

Today my friends and I had a beautiful afternoon celebrating a colleagues retirement. The staff were lovely and Anna couldn’t have been more attentive. We sat in the Orangery with the doors open, we had beautiful tasty sandwiches, scrumptious cakes and scones (compliments to the chefs) with copious amounts of tea. I would highly recommend it. Good times were had by all.

Visiting the area and popped in for food on a Saturday evening, which was pizza night. Home cooked pizza was delicious, as good as anything I've had before.
Booked for golf in a few days time so will definitely be having lunch before the round.
Edit: Returned a couple of days later for a fabulous round of golf. The staff were very welcoming, as were members and other visitors we spoke to. A great course to play with a few challenging holes, but we were glad we booked a buggy! Overall a lovely round and well recommended for anyone visiting the area.
