Within the UK we operate as Cova Insurance offering commercial, motor, high net worth, property and protection insurance. We also offer life and critical illness products through Cova Life and administration services are provided to many high street brands through Sterling Client Services Ltd.

Together, we're part of the French mutual insurance group Cova and as a result of its financial strength, the Cova group has attained a Standard and Poor's 'AA- Stable' rating.Cova Insurance served 1.9 million policyholders, generating over 725.7 million in premiums in 2020. We provide insurance cover for customers via insurance brokers, intermediaries and direct distribution channels.
The majority of our products are distributed through a nationwide network of brokers and intermediaries across the UK and through our direct brand, Provident Insurance. All distributors are authorised and regulated by the applicable body. For policy queries, or to amend/renew your cover, please contact the insurance broker, brand or intermediary who arranged your insurance in the first instance.

The staff I have dealt with have been extremely helpful, very polite and friendly. I dealt with Cameron yesterday and I am hoping for a call from him tomorrow with a conclusion. Georgia again very helpful and friendly. I think being friendly is very important and gives the impression of a personal service.

Unfortunately my dog chewed one of my hearing aids. Not covered by Policy. Pet damage. My fault should have read the small print more thoroughly. I was honest from the start and from the emails I received was led to believe my claim would be met. 13 days have lapsed, my emails went unanswered, trying to phone was useless. Advisor always not available. Finally today 8/11/21 my Broker Utility Warehouse made contact and I found out I was not covered. No one from Covea had the decency to phone me . The so called dedicated Claims handler should have told me from the outset my claim was not valid. Here

They refused to pay out on my business interruption policy during Covid. Have quibbled over why I had to close. The government making me isn't good enough apparently.

Why are you carrying out a soft credit check when I haven't applied for or even searched for any insurance, or even due any insurance?? I can assure you I will not be using this company for doing credit checks without any enquiries from me.

AVOID- Very poor level of service. Save yourself a lot of time and insure elsewhere. Hear nothing for months- Requested numerous updates and either never got an update or received an extremely vague response- very appalling considering the price you pay!

Extremely poor customer care.
Very unresponsive, forcing the client to give up documents before making any form of agreed evaluation.
Extremely talented at dragging there heals.
Nearly 6 weeks later and still no progress.
Continually having to chase them up.
Half the time they can't answer any questions and some of the colleagues are very abrupt.

I will be making sure my home insurance is not through this company again next year. The time scale to get claims approved is a joke it's been a month and I am still waiting...so I am left with no shower in the middle of a pandemic.
Would not recommend. If I could have gave no stars I would have.
