Karen's Kindergarden is a children's day nursery in Erdington, Birmingham and is situated in the quiet residential area of Pype Hayes near the Chester Road, with a good parking area, making collecting and dropping-off trouble free. We are open from 7.00am to 6.00pm on weekdays throughout the year. We are currently registered for up to 60 children in the 0 - 8 age range and we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage programme.
There are four separate rooms used by the children: Baby Room, Tumble Tots, Messy Room and Pre-School (also known as the Chatterbox Room), as well as an outdoor garden and play area. Please see separate headings for each room and also About Us for more details of the Nursery. The online journal Tapestry is used throughout the nursery, giving parents direct access to their child's progress.

Services
The nursery is situated in a quiet residential area but not far from the Chester Road in Erdington and it is well served by local bus routes. During 2007 and 2008 a sizeable and specially designed extension was built onto the existing building and this now provides the spacious Messy Room downstairs and the large Pre-School Room upstairs.
These are two separate rooms. The Baby Room, also known as Little Cherubs, is for those aged 6 weeks to 1 year and is where their adventure begins! This room offers a home-from-home experience for the children in the early stages of their lives. The staff observe and assess the children by focusing on the prime areas of learning and development in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The nursery participates fully in the funding for 3 and 4 year olds and can also accept children on the various 2 year old funding schemes. These schemes include the 15 or 30 hours free per week during term time and full details may be obtained from the Nursery - or can be emailed to you upon request.
