All appointments are presently via online video or by telephone. I am able to offer video appointments using Skype, Zoom or Hangouts and telephone via my usual contact number. Working with individuals, couples amd family groups is successful via video links and clinical supervision works well also.

It can be a hard journey, to reach a point of understanding that allows change to come about. And it can be helpful to make that journey with a guide that understands what is happening and how you came to be where you are. I strive to offer a private and quiet place to explore, understand and heal.

Counsellor, Psychotherapist, EMDR Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in Horsforth (LS18) district of Leeds, West Yorkshire. I am a qualified and experienced BACP Accredited, and UKRCP registered counsellor/psychotherapist, systemic practitioner and EMDR Therapist and am also a clinical supervisor. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, complaints procedures and insurance policies.
I believe that people, above all, are relational beings - we make sense of ourselves and our world through relationships, interaction and feedback. I strive to offer a safe and private space for you and your partner to explore issues together, to understand each other and resolve difficulties.

What counsellors call couples counselling, many people call marriage counselling or sometimes relationship counselling - perhaps because for the most part couples are either married or see themselves as a committed relationship.I use the term couples counselling to mean marriage and relationship counselling.
Psychotherapy tends to be more helpful to those struggling with specific disorders and trying hard to make sense of life or what others might see as the unusual way they experience things. Isolation is profoundly destructive to health in humans and a person struggling in this way can feel horribly alone.
