My name is Duncan Leckie and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Registered Nurse based in central Bristol. My approach is non-judgemental, constructive and I am absolutely committed to helping you achieve the positive changes you wish to make. I became interested in hypnotherapy after speaking to friends who had successfully used it to overcome a phobia and quit smoking.
Clinical hypnotherapy uses practical, modern and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. With Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to visit us (the problem).
About two years ago I developed an extreme sense of claustrophobia. I was getting panic attacks in elevators, trains, buses any room with a locked door and any sort of enclosed space. I was also getting regular unprovoked panic attacks at a rate of about 3 or 4 a day, which led me to A and E more than once.

Leading up to our wedding with so much to plan and do, I suffered sleep deprivation. I referred to Duncan and he kindly sent me his recording which helped enormously. My husband has since successfully used it also while dealing with lots of work changes which caused some insomnia. Duncan's recording is a go to and effective aid and I can't recommend it enough.

I got in touch with Duncan Leckie Clinical Hypnotherapy about some sleep issues I was having, and he immediately put me at ease , with his very approachable and sympathetic manner. We spoke through the symptoms etc and he seemed to identify the problem I was having very quickly, and we spoke through these issues, and possible ways of tackling them.
I followed these suggestions and found I was quickly making progress, and the issue is now in hand.
I would recommend DLCT - even the initial dialogue made me feel better.

Duncan has helped me through the mental process of my feelings following a family death. It helped greatly. His sleep relaxation tape worked so well I was unable to hear the end of it before falling sound asleep.

I was falling asleep just fine but waking at 3 or 4 in the morning and then having trouble getting back to sleep . I had a chat with Duncan and he explained that even though I didn’t realise I was feeling stressed, my mind did and so was waking me . He sent me his relaxation tape and it helped me so much . I rarely made it to the end before I was fast asleep again . The recording helped retrain my brain to sleep through the night again . If ever I can’t fall asleep , wake in the early hours or just want to relax I stick on the recording. The fact that is voice is like honey is an added bonus

This year I had to leave my home and my job of fourteen years with a lot of uncertainty so I was managing about three hours sleep a night. When I started listening to Duncan’s tape in bed I rarely got past the first ten minutes then slept the night away. It was a huge help in getting me settled and relaxed. Anytime I’m feeling stressed and unable to sleep I stuck it on.

Friendly, professional and very caring, Duncan did me a relaxation for anxiety and sleep. I played it before I went to bed and it took me a long time to ever hear the end of it because I kept falling asleep! (Which I think is a pretty good indication of the success of the recording!) Coming from a nursing background, he's very comprehensive in his appoach. He's easy to talk to, is obviously well informed, and I felt comfortable opening up.

In recent years I have started to experience anxiety on ever increasingly, and for longer lengths of time as well. I may be able to combat lesser anxiety with walking or baths, however when it hits heavier I seriously struggle. Duncan gave me a recording to try. It is fantastic. It took me perhaps 2-3 listens the first time to get the 'full effect' on the first occasion, however since then, my head seems to rest much quicker. I'd highly recommend this to everyone. I use it especially at the end of a day if having trouble getting to sleep.

I was really stressed before my wedding, not sleeping and just generally being really wound up during the day. I was able to access one of Duncans hypnotherapy for sleep tapes and it helped greatly over the fortnight before the wedding, I've also passed it onto other friends and family. Would recommend.

I was unable to sleep, either not getting to sleep or waking in the night for hours. Duncan's approach was professional and considerate. He gave me a relaxation tape to try and this has helped . So far I have heard the end of the tape once as I fall asleep at some stage during it.
I really appreciate the help and advice he has given.

Duncan has been truly amazing and I cannot recommend him enough!
After a few sessions with him, I regained my personal joy of being who I am and I'm viewing myself in a different light. Duncan's hypnosis sessions gave me more confidence to realise that I am a worthwhile person.
Now, I am ready to set goals for my business and personal life and work towards achieving them.
