Wi-fi installed and working all over the Guest House, obviously at no charge to our guests Courtesy vehicle available for short journeys by arrangement, want to visit the fabulous Best Restaurant in Britain, 'The Walnut Tree' or the equally famous 'Hardwick'? Just ask and we will book it for you and take you there!
Services
Jenny and Kevin have been running the Guest House for 16 years now and during that time many changes and improvements have been made. Kevin says the Guest House is very much like the Forth Bridge, as soon as he finishes one room, another needs redecoration! At the rear of the property there is a completely secure parking area for six cars and umpteen bikes, this also incorporates our 'pets corner'.
Abergavenny lies nestled at the foot of many beautiful mountains and is consequently cocooned and sheltered by some of the most awe inspiring mountains in Wales, including the "Sugar Loaf", the "Blorenge" and the "Skirrid". This gives the walker, biker or cyclist the opportunity to explore and view the breathtaking scenery.
Our rooms all have robes, television, towels, coffee and tea making facilites, we also provide the wine glasses and the bottle opener but sorry, you have to bring the wine! A south facing double ensuite room with a clear view of the Blorenge mountain and our pets' corner. With any luck you will see our chickens laying your eggs for breakfast.
If you're the type of person that enjoys an active lifestyle, then Abergavenny, gateway to the Beacons, is the place for you. Abergavenny has just been proposed to become the cycling capital of Wales. A lot of activities are focussed around the annual cycling festival in July, but you can ride the quiet roads around the town all year around.
Nestled between seven hills right on the Welsh/English border, Abergavenny truly is a 'Gateway To Wales'. From here you can explore the beautiful scenery of the Brecon Beacons as you taste the fresh mountain air! Abergavenny is also the food capital of south Wales due to its variety of excellent restaurants.

Was a little old fashioned
Have to say the mattress in the tiny room was absolutely dreadful very uncomfortable.
It did the job for what we wanted.
