Alexandra House
We don't use it glibly: we don't trot it out because it sounds good. We use it because it underpins everything we do in our everyday working lives. When people choose an Akari Home, they are placing a great deal of trust in us, at a time when they are often under great stress. We're passionate about returning that trust by providing a service that enables our residents to live enriched and happy lives.

All Akari Care Homes provide residents with opportunities to take up indoor and outdoor activities that stimulate them physically and mentally, while at the same time allowing them to maintain their individuality and independence. We try our best to recruit people who can share our passion.
Services
The most important element in this kind of research is planning. If you're choosing a Care Home, you need to talk to them (and in some cases your local community support teams), to find out what their priorities and preferences are. They may be very different from your own, and although you may think you can guess, because you know them well, you still need to ask.
At Akari Care we specialise in a number of homes that provide dementia care to both residential and nursing residents. All the staff are specialist trained in dementia care and have an awareness of a person-centred approach to the care and support of residents with dementia. They encourage and support the families to be actively involved with their relatives whilst visiting the home.
How much you pay will depend on the care home that you have chosen, the length of your stay, the level of care you require, the size and location of your room and any chargeable extras you decide to pay for. If you require financial assistance, your local authority will decide what level of care you require and look at your income and savings to determine whether you will need to make a contribution towards care home costs.
Akari is a small family of Care Homes integrated into local communities. We work closely with families, local Commissioners and Regulators, Social Workers, Clinicians and the wider community to enrich the lives of the individuals we're privileged to support. Commissioners and Regulators are a key factor in our drive to build and maintain the high standard of care we provide for our residents.
If you are currently searching for a care home for your loved one, please give us a call and we will do our very best to answer your questions. Our Home Managers will happily help answer any questions that you may have at this very emotional time for you and your family. Residential Care is provided by trained carers, rather than registered nurses, residential care helps with everyday activities, such as washing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
