Hope Barton Barns
Do you long for a break in beautiful South Devon? You're not the only one. Each year thousands long to rediscover the quaint rural dwellings of England, from Devon to Scotland, and that's why we've made it our mission to provide an out-of-bounds country haven, just a stones throw from the beautiful beaches of South Devon.

Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a chance to explore the picturesque South Devon countryside or are simply in pursuit of peace and bliss, Hope Barton Barns has what you seek. Our unique self catering holiday cottages offer a beautiful blend of style, tranquility and comfort, idyllically nestled on an authentic 35-acre working farm in South Devon.
Services
The Beach Hut is a small studio apartment perfect for providing additional accommodation for larger parties or for a short break for 1-2 people in beautiful South Devon. Where the butter and cheese were stored in the original Hope Barton farm, The Parlour is now a quaint studio cottage with access directly onto the lower courtyard.
If you're looking for a Devon holiday cottage a pool, Hope Barton Barns is the perfect choice. We have our own indoor heated pool which is in use all year round, whatever the weather. Besides the play barn is now our recently relocated Gym. With a rowing machine, weight benches, cycling machine and various more perfect for those who enjoy a workout whilst on holiday.
Of course, Hope Barton wouldn't be what it is without its idyllic location. There's something extraordinary about being able to wake up in a country-cottage to views of green pastures, stretching across hills and fields. Or how about taking a step outside your front door to hear the faint whistle of the ocean, and smell the fresh sea air.
The cottages are being sold under fractional ownership. Each cottage is divided into 10 fractions. Each fraction consists of 5 weeks per year which can vary from year to year across high, mid and low season. All property sale prices are determined by negotiation between cottage owner and potential purchaser.
Our first BBQ of the year. We always host our first BBQ on the May half term and we then return back to our Supper parties each Monday until the Summer holidays. We have a pair of piggies that has just arrived. They need to stay inside for a few weeks and then when the weather warms up they can explore outside!

We enjoyed the most delicious lunch, food and service were both excellent. Before and after lunch we had a lovely scenic walk along the coastal path. Highly recommended.

Lovely, clean, nicely decorated accommodation in beautiful setting with essential supplies. Good facilities. Would definitely recommend a stay.
Slight suggestion - maybe a rail in showers/bath as an elderly relative has difficulty accessing these facilities.
Otherwise, perfect 👌

My favourite place to go. Wonderful accommodation surrounded by beautiful scenery and a short walk to the sea and a lovely sandy bay. An indoor swimming pool on site (now with Covid prevention booked slots only) is the icing on the cake.

The accommodation was of top quality both in terms of decor, equipment and facilities. The position is perfect- peaceful and close to the sea- a place to really relax. The staff are friendly and professional- they retrieved our left laptop and returned ‘Frank’ our forgotten bear. We have stayed 3 times before and can’t wait to go back!

We’ve been to Hope Barton Barns several times. The one bed cottages are rather small but the two beds and obviously bigger cottages have a lot more room. We got snowed in the last time we were there and the staff went out of their way to be helpful, keeping us updated with the weather and even laying on a completely evening meal which we were not expecting!
