Services
Our award winning South Devon cottages by the sea are perfect for those who appreciate tranquillity and the great outdoors. For young families there's an onsite playground and of course the seaside is a short walk or drive away. The south facing cottages situated next to the rambling old Georgian farmhouse, have been sensitively converted from a range of traditional pink stone barns and adjoin a courtyard which is a summer haven for swallows.
Such a lovely time here, crabbing in Dartmouth, rockpooling at Beesands and surfing at Bantham. A lounge/dining area and separate but adjacent kitchen. Also a small double bedroom (2.65m x 2.62m ) with ensuite wetroom comprising 'walk in' shower, w.c., and basin which is suitable if required by one wheelchair user or older couple (meets original National Accessible Scheme category 2) There are rails by the shower, sink and toilet.
With a name that acknowledges its former use as a cattle barn the Shippon is a lovely light and airy cottage. Similar to the Bull House in layout but with slightly smaller rooms. Lounge with comfy seating, flat screen TV, electric logburner style stove and kitchen/dining areas. A double bedroom has a kingsize bed, ensuite shower room and views out over the courtyard.
The cottage is very cosy and comfortable. We have been holidaying in Devon on and off for 20 years and this part of South Devon has managed to retain all it's wonderful charm, great walks, great beaches, great villages, wonderful wildflife and views. What a treat, we'll be back for sure. Features the original ring where the bull was tethered!
Formerly the barn which housed the horse-drawn trap, together with the tack room and sheep shearers loft, not to mention the pig sty, this intriguing cottage is absolutely brimming with charm and character. Fantastic location and great stay for families. We were staying with friends and their baby as well as our 4 month old.

Had a lovely week in the Linhay. As always a great relaxing stay with a walk down to Beesands each day for exercise. Nice and friendly place to stay and very good accommodation. Superb central heating (bit to hot we had to turn the rads down!) and if you need it and real fire for the evenings (we didn't as it was mild).
