Laraine Harper and Jill Thompson established Ashberry Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in Beaconsfield in 1998 as a private practice providing the highest standards of physiotherapy.

Although Jill and Larry no longer undertake clinical work, they remain practice partners and have built a team of dedicated and highly qualified physiotherapists who have undergone extensive post graduate training and are all registered with the Chartered Society of Phyisotherapy and the Health & Care Professions Council. Our treatment rooms are specially designed for us.
Initial assessment session: The first time you see us, the physiotherapist will assess the cause, severity and nature of your problem. They will ask about similar problems, treatment or investigations you have had, your general health and any medication you may be taking. We discuss your lifestyle, work and leisure activities as these may impact your condition.
Acupuncture is an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation as well as a means of stimulating the body's own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation. We use it frequently as part of the treatment for musculoskeletal pain. Our physiotherapists are registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
As much as we enjoy sports and exercise, it can sometimes cause injuries which can be acute or chronic. An acute injury is usually the result of a sudden awkward movement or impact. A chronic sports injury tends to develop over time, often due to stressing the same joint or muscles. The rate of recovery of acute injuries can be increased by reducing joint swelling, preventing joint stiffness and muscle weakness.
We are a BUPA preferred provider and are registered with all major medical insurance companies. Most providers expect you to contact them in advance of starting treatment and may require you to have seen your GP. Please refer to your policy as you may be responsible for part or all of the costs of your treatment.
