We are highly qualified in Canine Hydrotherapy, and registered with the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA). We are dedicated in helping your four legged companion enjoy a full and active life, whether they are recovering from surgery, injury, illness or maybe needing to keep fit or lose weight. We work closely with your vet to ensure your pet receives the best possible treatment at all times.
We provide professional, friendly and a unique service as your pet is always treated by a minimum of two practitioners at all times. We fully understand that bringing your pet for hydrotherapy for their first appointment can be quite stressful, so our ultimate aim is to make the whole experience as stress free as possible for you and your pet.

Services
A complimentary form of therapy, hydrotherapy is controlled exercise in water to encourage a faster rate of recovery which can not only aid post op patients but all aspects of muscular skeletal conditions. The warmth of the water provides a medium that assists with pain relief and the reduction of muscle spasm.
Our state of the art underwater treadmill allows us to tailor make every patients rehabilitation programme dependant on their needs. We can alter water levels and speed dependent on what joint we are targeting and our aims of the treatment plan. The sanitised water, kept between 30-32degrees offers a level of buoyancy which encourages weight bearing and increased range of movement through joints which patients may find difficult on land.
The purpose of physiotherapy is to reduce pain and restore movement, thus improving quality of life and performance. Physiotherapy is a fundamental part of human medicine and its value within animal health and rehabilitation is becoming increasingly more recognised.
Animals cannot directly tell us where they hurt, however Veterinary Physiotherapists undergo extensive training to be able to complete detailed assessments and help identify areas of pain or dysfunction. This is achieved using manual techniques, electrotherapy, acupuncture, exercise regimes, and advice to owners.

We offer a range of treatments at our centre with experienced and qualified practitioners, enabling us to give your pet the best possible rehabilitation and care. Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy treatments both complement each other and at times it is necessary for patients to receive both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy treatment which can be for a number of reasons.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness
Really excellent with our older dog who is suffering from arthritic hips. They've handled the difficult juggling act of appointments throughout the pandemic brilliantly. Have been reliable, flexible and never let us down. Fabulous communications and so caring with their patients. Would highly recommend this team to anyone.

We were recommended to take our dog here for post cruciate ligament surgery physio and an arthritic hock issue. I went in slightly sceptical as to how well it would work and was blown away by how much help it was. The difference it made, and continues to make, is mind blowing and we now have a regular appointment to keep our Penny in tip top shape. As an added bonus they're all great people 👍

I have used this pool over a good number of years with my dogs. I cannot praise their expertise and knowledge enough. They cannot do enough to help you and their facilities are second to none. I will be using them again very shorty as my puppy has to have her cruciate ligament repaired and I will be using Sam and Sue rather than my own vets pool.
