Starks Fitness originated as a bespoke Personal Training facility at our Harbourside location, focussing on delivering the highest level of coaching standards, coupled with top range equipment and knowledgeable coaches, providing guaranteed results.

In 2018, the offering expanded, and we opened our flagship venue, Temple Quay, pursuing founder James' vision of developing a bespoke, comprehensive and (most importantly), affordable personal training concept to the masses.This is where the small group PT product came to light. Operating up to 100 timetabled sessions a week, the carefully curated gym programme offers a selection of strength, mobility & cardiovascular training methods.
With years of extensive knowledge around training and nutrition, our coaches at Starks Fitness will create a completely bespoke programme to ensure maximum results. After choosing which package is best suited to your personal goals (see below), we'll arrange a consultation (phone or in-person), devise a plan, and then allocate a coach who specialises in that area.
Access all areas on our inclusive membership plan. Perfect for those who have specific goals or simply want to perfect their form through our semi-private PT program. Our group training timetable offers a complete range of training styles to maximise your fitness needs.

Our PT packages combine years of extensive knowledge around training with the science behind nutrition to create a completely bespoke program for you to ensure the best possible results.Results are also made in the kitchen! Training doesn't solely equate to a 'healthy' body - nutrition is paramount.
This is our unique approach to a semi-private personal training session with only a maximum of 4 people per group. They are professionally programmed by our head coach in a monthly cycle and are structured so that it's a full body workout with a weekly focus on pull, push, hinge and squat. You will learn proper form & technique through weight training, bodyweight work and enjoy new exercises constantly that never gets boring or repetitive.

I’m really happy with my experience so far with Starks Fitness. I have Lauren as my PT, and from day 1, she’s been very helpful to guide me on my weight loss journey. Beyond 1x a week PT session, I can choose unlimited classes freely available for the rest of the week, which varies from strength training, body burn, calisthenics, etc. Other coaches and members are also very friendly, I don’t feel the usual “gym intimidation” that I had a lot in the past. I’ve lost weight, gained muscle, cooked & eaten healthier food since joining 4 months ago — and looking forward to continue sustaining

Most definitely the best place to work out that I’ve ever been to, Bristol or otherwise. Everyone is amazing at what they do and make it a lovely place to work out 🏋️‍♀️. Not your typical gym and is the complete opposite of intimidating. Massive respect for the levels of fitness and expertise the trainers have and it really gives you complete faith in what you’re doing. Big shout out to my PT Lauren Milo who has made me feel super welcome and is clearly a PRO at what she does, giving me guidance every step of the way 👊🏻. I was super nervous to enter a new gym after two years of not working out and piling on the pounds during lockdown. As soon as I met my new PT Lauren Milo, I knew everything was going to be ok. She is amazing at what she does, incredible knowledge base about exercise, how your body reacts and nutrition. I had developed some really bad habits but Lauren has taught me to look after myself to get those gains 💪. Finally found my gym!
After years of training in different places I can say I've finally found my home. The team at Starks are hospitable and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The same can be said for the members that train there; my induction week was lively and full of introductions from members and trainers alike.
I attend the classes as much as possible. Every staff member at Starks is incredibly competent and able to tweak my technique in order for me to get the most out of the sessions. This attentiveness, passion and knowledge has not been present in prior gyms I've trained in. The

Just fantastic. The most attentive and inclusive gym I've ever used. The staff know who I am and treat me like a valued customer even though I'm a new user. Other gym users are very friendly too, no posers or ego's here as u sometimes get elsewhere.
The group PT system here is brilliant. I Used it for 1 month right before lock down and saw results in that short time, am now almost a month in to my second stint (now we're allowed back in gyms) and once again I'm seeing results. I intend to stay on board as long as gyms can stay open! Worth every penny.

Without doubt, the best and most friendly gym in Bristol. I’ve been really impressed with the group classes and the coaches are top notch.
My favourite thing about Starks Fitness is the community of amazing members & staff who are really supportive!

Starks is absolutely brilliant. In the past I have found gyms to be pretty intimidating places for all but the superfit body-builder/ fitness model types, but Starks isn’t like that at all. From the moment I joined I felt like part of a supportive community where everyone (staff and clients) is really friendly. The classes are varied and challenging but always enjoyable, and the trainers are amazing - they’re always willing to give advice and show you how to do things properly, are great at getting you to push yourself and are generally really good fun. I’ve been going for just over a month

I been training with Starks Fitness for nearly 5 years. I’m still continuing my journey but I’m currently in the best shape of my life turning 50 in a few days.
I can’t thank the SF team enough. The support has been second to none and the community is unbeliable (I spend a lot of time at SF as it’s such a vibrant place to be). The coaching standard is the best around and caters for all needs, goals and abilities.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Amazing.
