It's not every day that you have professional photography done, so here's a little bit about me and my world of baby photography to make sure that you choose the right photographer for you. Despite loving all genres of photography, the birth of my own 2 daughters naturally drew me to portraiture.
As they have grown, so has my fascination for photographing them and other children, but over the years I have discovered that my true love lies in photographing newborns and babies.My hobby has slowly grown into a business and I feel so lucky to have a career that I feel so passionate about. By nature, I am a perfectionist, always striving to do better.

We recently did the bump to birthday package with Claire (having done a crawling shoot a few years ago) and it was such a lovely experience and we have so many beautiful images. I will look back over my baby’s first year and remember our sessions with Claire as little milestones/sanity moments breaking up the year. As well as being so talented, Claire is lovely to spend time with and was so patient with us all no matter how frazzled we all were (we are a family of 5 so fairly high maintenance customers)! At the end of the year we have many perfect and special images that really captured the spirit

My first trip out with my newborn at 9 days old and I’m not going to lie I very nearly cancelled as not sure I was up to it. I’m so glad I didn’t. Claire just gets it! I’d even go as far to say I thoroughly enjoyed it as a result! Claire immediately puts you at ease and her homely studio is spot; warm and cosy with coffee, tea and cakes on tap too but most importantly a sofa for you to actually relax (lay down and sleep if you want to!) on. Claire is an absolute natural with babies, I’d go as far to say a baby whisperer and really gives her undivided attention so nothing feels rushed

We visited Claire Walder Photography in July 2019 to get photos of our 2 week old son Caspar. I cannot recommend Claire more highly. She was extremely patient throughout, even though it took approx. 5 hours to get our son relaxed enough to get the perfect shots!
Claire is welcoming and provided us with plenty of drinks/snacks and make the whole experience a really positive one for us. The photos we have received are just brilliant! We will definitely be using Claire again to capture our little Caspar as he grows!

Claire did a newborn session for our 9 day old. The photos are absolutely stunning, we couldn’t be happier with them. Her studio is warm, cosy and relaxing, and there are no time pressures. Babies are unpredictable but she takes as long as your baby needs - she is magical at getting them relaxed and sleepy! Highly recommended.

A fabulous experience. I first saw Claire with my daughter at 10 days old and 4 years later I took my son at 7 days old to have their photos taken. Claire was relaxed and kind and considerate to the fact that babies sometimes don't play along or need feeding or changing at regular intervals! We weren't rushed or made to feel uncomfortable at all. We have some
wonderful photographs to keep and treasure for the rest of our lives. Thank you!

We have had the privilege of Claire photographing both our newborn babies, who are now 1 and 3. We have been back several times for a family shoot and for photos of the children together and have been delighted by the images she's captured. In the studio Claire is incredibly calm and welcoming - she is somehow magically able to soothe fractious babies and win over wilful toddlers with ease. We can't recommend her highly enough and look forward to capturing more precious moments with her as the chidren grow up.
