The Wheelhouse is a family-run beachside guest house providing bed and breakfast accommodation. We are in the perfect location - right on the sands of Porthcressa Beach, around the corner from places to eat, drink and shop, and a short stroll from the quay. Services
The Wheelhouse has nine beautifully appointed en-suite rooms, featuring our favourite coastal fabrics. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs, iPod/iPhone docking clock radios, hairdryers, handwash, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. Beach towels are provided for your use.
Enjoy breakfast at a leisurely pace between 8.00am and 9.00am in our breakfast room which has fabulous panoramic sea views overlooking Porthcressa Bay. All of our food is cooked to order. Every morning choose from a fresh fruit platter, poached plums, prunes, grapefruit, Kellogg's cereals, yoghurts and fruit juices followed by a traditional cooked breakfast.
During High Season bookings are generally taken for 7 nights on a Wednesday - Wednesday basis. Rooms are available for check-in by 2.00pm. If you arrive before your room is ready we have plenty of space to store your bags whilst you go off and start exploring. On your day of departure check-out time is 10.00am.

Arrive on St. Mary's by air or sea - whichever way you choose, you'll find travelling here a special experience. By Sea The Scillonian III is operated by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company and sails from Penzance to St. Mary's six days a week from March to October. The Steamship Company will be operating some Sunday sailings of the Scillonian III again this summer.
