Services
Polreath is our family home and we have been living on St. Martin's and running Polreath since 2001. Sarah and Jason run the guest house, Neil, now semi retired and children Josh and Sophie help out when back home. We love living here and hope that by choosing to stay with us, you too will fall in love with St. Martin's and island life.
Your room is your haven for the duration of your stay. Prior to your arrival, it will have been thoroughly cleaned and all frequently touched hand contact surfaces disinfected. We will not enter it until you leave, unless you request otherwise or in the case of an emergency. Rooms will only be cleaned on request and then only when you are out and are not cleaned at weekends.
Every morning at Polreath, you can look forward to a hearty breakfast cooked fresh to order for you by Jason. Choose from homemade granola or muesli with Earl Grey infused prunes or porridge with thunder and lightning. Follow with the full Polreath breakfast or maybe something simpler. Poached eggs from our own hens served with pan fried dry cured back bacon is a firm favourite with our regular guests.
Three nights a week, Jason cooks superb evening meals, offering the best of home-grown and locally sourced produce. On Friday nights he cooks exclusively for you, usually local or Cornish fish. Monday night is Curry Night and popular with the locals and visitors alike. Whereas Thursday night varies, depending on the time of year, from wild venison stew or cassoulet to Cornish rib eye steak.
Our home is over a hundred years old and is set in a peaceful island location at the top of a hill and offers 3 guest rooms that are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors of the house. We are located 5 minutes walk downhill from Par Beach and Higher Town Quay, our island store and post office is 50 metres away and the nearest town is Hugh Town on St. Mary's which is a 25 minute boat ride away.

Absolutely loved the accommodation and the food. You must visit if you go to St Martins. The food was just delicious and we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at points through the week and it was all gorgeous. Everything is homemade and Jason is a great cook, whilst Sarah makes a mean Ginger Pimms.
