Tiny Toes Nursery
We are a family run nursery in a charming Victorian house that feels like home. We believe highly trained staff who are happy, proud, motivated, and who feel secure as part of the family, are best placed to make your children feel the same. We have a great reputation for the variety of stimulating activities we lay on for the children every single day, with lots of messy play, real tools and household items.

Our Tiny Toes love their weekly sessions with Super Star Sport, exercising their bodies, minds and listening skills! The children practice hand-eye coordination, target skills and teamwork, all in our large outdoor space! We excel at our monitoring of children's progress against the Ofsted early years framework.

We are a family run nursery in a charming Victorian house that feels like home. We believe highly trained staff who are happy, proud, motivated, and who feel secure as part of the family, are best placed to make your children feel the same. Because of the continuity of our staff and the thoughtful stimulation they provide, our children are active, curious and confident in forming relationships, which sets them up for a lifetime of learning.
Set in a lovely Victorian town house with ample garden and outdoor space the place feels very homely and welcoming! The high quality of child care offered at Tiny Toes supports children's psychological development. Our experienced team of nursery practitioners are trained to support children through their development milestones.
There is always something going on at Tiny Toes. As well as our regular classes we've had a whole host of special sessions delivered in partnership with external providers and instructors. As part of our parent partnership, family and friends can join in too when there is a special event. All at no extra cost!
Here, we care for babies from 6 weeks. Each baby is given the time and opportunity to develop their senses through a range of stimulation involving sounds, lights and textures. Our team are adept at providing care with the love and affection that makes our babies feel comfortable, safe and happy. We have a milk preparation area and a nappy changing area which provides all that each baby needs.
We enjoy the use of our own outside play spaces to the front and rear of the setting and encourage outdoor play as often as is practicable. This includes wet weather play where the children can splash freely in the muddy area or play games on the all-weather grass surface. Our gardens also have sheltered areas to provide adequate protection against extremes of hot, cold and wet weather.

Positive: Communication, Quality
My little one is nearly 4 and has been at Tiny toes since he was one. He absolutely loves it there. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they’ve gone above and beyond in accommodating our ever changing needs throughout the pandemic.

Both my children have really enjoyed their time and thrived at Tiny Toes . They are a caring and professional team with genuine love for all the kids they care for and that shows in all they do . They have been conscientious and effective in addressing any additional support that may be needed by my kids . Highly recommended as a home from home .

My 18-month-old daughter has been going to Tiny Toes two days a week since she was 15 months old, and we're all happy with the nursery. I was impressed by how quickly the staff got to know her (and us), and I like that they always have time for a chat about how her day has been when I pick her up. The nursery has also embraced the fact that we use reusable nappies, which we've really appreciated. She comes home well-fed, singing and ready for a good night's sleep, which is a good combination!

The staff at tiny toes are amazing. All so kind, welcoming and open. My daughter has been there since April 2019 and loves every day. I cannot believe the range of activities they do every day and the foods she eats. My favourite aspect of Tiny Toes is going to the care home each week and spending time with the elderly residents 😍 it is lovely to see the photos and my 93 year old nan loves seeing children laughing every time. This is such a brilliant nursery and would 100% recommend to anyone!

Not just a nursery, a family.
I cannot express how pleased I have been with Tiny Toes since my son joined when he was 10 months old. We were in it together every step of the way and even though I can’t believe my little on has just left to start big school (!) we have both made friends for life.
The new management were a game changer and the range of activities, games, learning opportunities and even workshops for us parents has meant I would never recommend any nursery over this one. Don’t look anywhere else you really don’t need to 😍

My son has been coming to Tiny Toes for a year and a half and has come on so much. I know my partner can drop him of there and he is well looked after. I get pictures sent to me through his personal portal of the eyLog of the things that he has been getting up to throughout the day. He also gets lovely cooked lunches and dinners every day.

All 3 of my children attended Tiny Toes and I couldn't fault the care they provided. It definitley had a homely feel about it and on the whole I found the staff to be caring, professional and knowledgeable.
They were flexible with the hours they offered which fitted in with my husband's shift work, which many nursery's don't offer.
I believe they have changed hands since we have left but would still recommend the nursery to others.

I work here - so a bit bias BUT I’ve also had my little one here , so I am reviewing as a parent.
my little one attended from 18 months old up until she was 3 1/2 and was looked after by the other staff. She was always happy and went off with a smile. I received lots of observations which I could look at online ( as could her dad) . The staff done a fab job looking after her and she still talks about Tiny Toes now :)

I have two boys (3 year old and 18 months old) they have both been at Tiny Toes from about 10 months old. They both love nursery and at times don’t even want to come home. The staff are lovely and loving towards the children, they also create fun activities for the children to learn through play. As a parent I couldn’t feel more comfortable leaving my children with such great people.

My little boy (19months) has been going to Tiny Toes for about 5 months now and we couldn't be any happier. The staff was so accommodating when he settled in to nursery and gave him all the cuddles and affection he needed. He now has a strong bond with his main carers and always has loads of fun. They have also been the only nursery in and around Hoddesdon that was willing to cater for his special dietary requirements!

My 3.5yo twins have been attending since they turned 1 and the nursery staff have always been fab and very patient. We have a good handover everyday and get regular posts on the eylog to see what they are up to during the day.
A recent change of owners sparked initial concerns as the old team were fab but the new owners have kept a consistency for all of us whilst also offering more activities and great initiatives which the kids and parents both appreciate.
Highly recommend this setting. We’ll miss it when school starts.

A great nursery with friendly, caring staff in lovely setting. Lots of useful tools, events and practical information for parents (e.g. informative blog posts, organised events about the children’s learning, family fun events). Particularly love the partnership with the local care home where the children get to visit & interact with the residents.

I work at Tiny Toes but this review is based purely on how my little one was looked after in other rooms :)
She settled really quickly and always had a smile on her face. She got to take part in extra ciricular activities ( super sports sessions) and got to experience trips - local walks and bus journeys which she thoroughly enjoyed.
The staff where all great with her and I was never worried about leaving her with them .
One of the things I LOVE is the use of the EyLog an online learning journal that is updated at least once a week with what she has been doing.
Events are ran every Christmas
