Welcome to Little Sparrows - an Early Years Nursery with Outdoor Learning and a Montessori Dimension. For over 30 years, we have been nurturing children in helping them to become creative, resilient and happy little learners. At Little Sparrows we do things a little differently. We encourage outdoor learning as much as possible with a Montessori attitude.
We treat our learners as competent individuals which builds on their self-esteem, confidence and physical and mental well-being. We want to build a generation of children who love to learn. Learning is so much more than learning set skills and passing tests - it is about developing a positive attitude towards learning and a passion and a curiosity for the world!

Little Sparrows is a perfect nursery for our little girl. She looks forward to attending everyday. She has made lots of friends and loves the staff, especially her key person. We are very pleased with her development and how she interacts with others. It's exciting for us as parents to see what new things she is discovering and learning, on a daily basis.
We value the importance of children being in control of their own learning and recognise how the process of learning, over the end result is crucial in building life skills such as confidence, perseverance and resilience. We have times of the day where we work as mixed age group which makes us unique to most Nurseries in our area.
Our Little Sparrows children are exposed to a wealth of flavours from across the world, enabling them to explore different cultures and share social experiences with their peers. From a young age the children learn how to care and grow a variety of vegetables from seeds in the garden. Meal times are a very sociable experience.

Little Sparrows is FANTASTIC! Our previous large nursery closed at sudden notice and being key workers we were left with no care for our then 16 month old son during the covid pandemic. Cheryl and the team certainly came to our rescue. The care and attention paid to each child is second to none. Almost immediately our son fell in love with the nursery and would run inside with a smile every morning. We are eternally grateful to Little Sparrows for all they have done for us, it's a huge shame we live too far to keep our son there. We really would have loved to. Thank you Little Sparrows!

During the pandemic our usual nursery suddenly shut. My wife and I are key workers. So we started a search for a new nursery. We spoke to Cheryl who said her way to help with the pandemic was to look after our son.
Cheryl welcomed our son to the nursery after a period of settling in. He absolutely loved Little Sparrows. He looks forward to going to nursery in the morning.
I cannot fault the care, attention and love Cheryl and Carolyn have shown our son. We will forever be grateful.

My daughter attened little sparrows nursery for 2 years, during which she has thougherly enjoyed her time here, and is sad to be leaving.
The staff are so lovely, friendly and proffesional, they are Also so easy to approach and talk to about anything on your mind.
They offer good feedback on your child's day when collecting them , talking about what they do well and not so well.
You work together to help your child progress develope and learn though activities, role play, story times and asking questions.
The older children (3-4) spend more time in the activity room where they learn more then
