W Sherry & Sons was founded in 1850, and has been run by the Sherry family ever since. The company is currently under the direct control of the fifth, sixth and seventh generations, Robin, Neil and Brooke Sherry, respectively. The company now has nine branches in total.
We are founder members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, and are part of SAIF - the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors, set up to promote the benefits of, and to act for the smaller family run business, as opposed to the large nationally and internationally owned funeral groups.

Services
Our service to you starts from the moment you contact us, whether by telephone or personal visit, and often extends way beyond the day of the funeral. On initial contact we will ask you for preliminary details, whether the deceased has passed away in a hospital, private nursing home or at home we will arrange the conveyance of the deceased to our premises.
The subject of death and bereavement is still a very private matter for most of us in Britain. It is often therefore a bewildering task to face the arrangements for a funeral. With W Sherry and Sons experience as funeral directors we know that there is no question too small to be asked, and no request that a client should consider not inquiring about.
I just wanted to say thank you for your care, compassion and professionalism when dealing with the arrangements for Mum's funeral. Everyone was so kind, your whole team all helped us deal with this very difficult and sad time in all our lives. It was always Nan's wish that Sherry's were to conduct her funeral arrangements - and ONLY Sherry's!

I thoroughly recommend this company who helped my family with the funeral arrangements for my sister in September 2021. They were sensitive and professional and helped me and my younger sister with all we needed to know and do for the funeral. We were very pleased with how the funeral at St Alban's Church and the burial at Gunnersbury Cemetery went. We will always be grateful.

I can’t thank sherry’s enough. We used sherry’s in Uxbridge and Nicola could not of been more helpful exceptional service we couldn’t of asked for a better person to help the family arrange my mothers funeral was all done smoothly no problems at all thank you Nicola your absolutely brilliant. W Sherry & sons helped make the send-off extra spectacular!
Sadly my father in-law passed away in April 2021. The immediate family were too devastated to organise the funeral and I took it upon myself to put it all together with the help of Paul at W Sherry and Sons Acton branch.
Under COVID restrictions and tight timelines, Paul Sutton was fantastic in trying to accommodate our every need. His professionalism and delicate way to consult on procedure was second to none. My ex partner was buried in Greenford Cemetery on 29th January 2021. We used Neil Sherry of W Sherry & Sons after reading the excellent reviews. Unfortunately I had a different experience. I wrote to W Sherry & Sons as did 3 other members of the funeral gathering to express our concerns regarding proceedings adopted on the day and the general lack of communication. It was a very upsetting and disappointing occasion and not what I wanted for my ex partner.

Appalled by the racist abuse I suffered from the men delivering the coffins this morning. Unnecessarily blocking the road causing long tail backs, they threatened me with physical violence and hurled racist abuse at me and my two sons as we passed them. My children were left terrified and very upset, as am I. 30 years I have lived in Chiswick, and never have I suffered such a disgusting affront.

My mother sadly passed away in June 2018. Then we contacted W Sherry & Sons. We dealt with Rupert Dove. He is a very caring and considerate person and very professional at his job. He kindly came to mum's funeral. And the other day he brought mum's ashes back home to us. Which we are so grateful for. Well i would highly recommend this business. 💯%.

My dad sadly passed away in Jan 21 and W Sherry and Sons was recommended to us by a neighbour. We were somewhat taken aback by the professionalism, kindness, respect and competence demonstrated by Brooke Sherry and the Acton team. The service completely exceeded our expectations and was flawless in every sense. And this was all in Lockdown 3.0.... The day of the funeral itself was beautiful, calm and strangely enjoyable.
