DCES was born and raised by Paul McKinney Ba(Hons) CFSP. Hailing from Seaham, Co Durham he has worked for the leading System Integrators in the North East & Scotland and travelled the world over the last 15 years building up clientele and experience. Paul is Technical Director of DCES and is dedicated to building and expanding DCES to be the leading Engineering Resource in the North East of England.

Our engineers are among a few in the world whom are qualified by Exida in Functional Safety. The CFSE Organisation by Exida is governed by TUV. Specialising in 61508 & 61511 standards DCES can offer taylor made safety systems or safety instrumented systems (SIS) at a realistic cost. DCES engineers have worked with all of the latest PLC, SCADA & DCS manufacturers so no matter what systems you have on site, we can work with them.

DC-ES Have been supporting Vertellus Specialities throughout 2019 on the functional safety targets. 2020 will bring a new site safety control system implemented in place of their current measures to bring the plants in line with IEC61508/61511 requirements. DC-ES have now been supporting Nissan for over 3 years and the projects keep coming thick and fast.

2019 was a pivotal year for DCES in which we worked on some very interesting and diverse projects. Details of the projects are listed below as these projects vary from full turn key control system replacements to redevelopment of legacy systems. A wide selection of systems have already been used this year including Mitsubishi IQR PLCs, SICK Flexisoft, Omron CJ2H PLCs, Cimplicity SCADA and much more.
