The Par 71 6,265 yard course designed by Peter Alliss boasts some of the best greens in the area. The course is maintained to a superb standard all year round. Golfers are treated to some spectacular views and the course proves a true test to golfers of all levels. Surrey Downs Golf Club boasts an impressive Driving Range and is famous for allowing golfers to play off real turf.

The Course & Gallery Report

The safe side is the left half of the green, but don't overdo it, there's a hidden bunker left of the green. A true Par 5 to finish, which requires a laid up second down the right side. An elevated approach shot is needed to this double green to avoid both the water and front bunker. When playing the 13th hole, these stakes are immovable obstructions.

Golf Lessons at The Academy Report

We are very proud of the practice facility at Surrey Downs and you will find it difficult to better. Set in picturesque surroundings, you can experience the satisfaction of a grass teeing area for eight months of the year, making your practice as close to course conditions as possible and of course, there is exceptional value to be had.

Fun little course with some great holes. My favourites were 8 and 18. Some holes were a little boring but on the whole was a good challenge.respect for opening the course but some greens were saturated which made putting a real challenge. But for the money il give this 5 stars.

I recently booked the Willow Suite on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my mother's 96th birthday with 36 family members spanning 4 generations. The room was perfect and nicely decorated, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We had pre-ordered a finger buffet which was continually replaced as it was consumed and was exactly what was required for a lunchtime meal.
So, all in all I have nothing but praise for this establishment. Well done.

Lovely venue for a family party. Attended an event here and the staff Shaun and Esme were lovely and very accommodating. Food was delicious. Good parking. Clean toilets. Easy disabled access.

Played here a few times now, nice layout greens were very good as was fairways and tee boxes. The only small letdown are the bunkers not enough sand with to many stones. If you had a proper short game area I would join as a member.

The golf course was in a dire state. Greens were being worked on as we played, bunkers were unplayable and quite a few dangerous!!! Cricket ball size small Rocks. No GUR notices so we had to play out of bunker as a penalty. We were not told upfront of any of this. Nor are they giving us any recompense. Absolutley AVOID!!!

Really nice course, lovely clubhouse. We booked at a decent time so we got a tee time for 8 pounds. Only issue was the greens were covered in sand and made putting tricky.

I recently arranged a golf society at Surrey Downs. Big thankyou to all the staff!! The weather was truly awful. We were offered to re-arrange or play. We decided to play. The groundsman moved all the pins to make sure we were able to putt on the greens. Although, we all got soaked everyone still enjoyed the day.

Visited last week as part of a society, staff were extremely accommodating, prepared food for us and got us out on time. Course was tough due to club competitions and in great condition which made it challenging and fun, looking forward to the next one. Thanks
