Glasgow Wood Recycling is a social enterprise and charity established in 2007. We are committed to reducing the amount of wood needlessly going to landfill by finding creative and socially inclusive ways to reuse this valuable natural resource.
The wood waste that we collect from all over Glasgow is gathered and sorted at our South Street workshop, we then reuse it to make quality furniture and design bespoke pieces for home, businesses and social sector organisations, anything from tables in bars to eco-gardens in schools!

Services
Glasgow Wood Recycling offer a cheap and convenient wood collection service, which provides a sustainable alternative to skip hire and landfill. All of our collected wood waste is recycled or reused to create quality furniture and bespoke pieces at our South Street Workshop. We are committed to reducing disposal costs, reducing waste going to landfill and to creating jobs for local people.
Volunteers are at the heart of Glasgow Wood Recycling, playing an active and valuable role in all aspects of the enterprise. There is a wide range of ways to get involved and we are committed to making volunteering a positive experience from which all concerned can benefit. Volunteers don't need to have previous experience, just a willingness and desire to help and get involved.
WOOD Unlimited is our Big Lottery funded training programme which aims to tackle social isolation through woodwork. It is a 6-week health and well-being themed course aimed at reducing the impact of loss, isolation and loneliness. The scheme involves a combination of practical woodwork skills, conservation activities and community projects.
The initial consultation and site visit will allow us to discuss your priorities for the project which will form the basis of the design brief. You will be able to view our portfolio and discuss the design process, so you have a full understanding of the stages involved. We will then create a design brief which outlines the scope of the project and the desired results.
