Founded in 1954, Ifield Park Care Home is a community led, not-for-profit Care Home specialising in Residential Care, Residential Dementia Care and Day Care. We provide modern, high quality accommodation and over the years we have expanded and adapted to the changing needs of older people. For us, care is more than a service, it's a way of life.
Our purpose built residential accommodations are designed to give our residents a comfortable, cosy and familiar place to live, while providing them with the safe environment, support and care that they need. Founded in 1954 by Harold and Millicent Goodwin, Ifield park was originally founded as a voluntary, charitable, residential care home.

Services
To book a visit slot for the coffee shop please contact the home as you would do for a usual visit but specify you wish to go to the coffee shop rather than the visit room. An LFT test 30 minutes before your booked slot will still be required and must be negative. Residents may have maximum TWO visitors in the coffee shop.
The Ifield Park Housing Society was founded in 1954 with the aim of providing affordable care for elderly people who could no longer look after themselves in their own homes. To help us keep costs down for our residents, donations, no matter how small, are very gratefully received. If you would like to discuss other ways in which you might like to support us please make an appointment to see our CEO, Mrs. Joanne Stovold.
Ellwood Place is our dedicated home for up to 30 residents who have received a diagnosis of Dementia. Our residents enjoy a homely atmosphere, in which they are encouraged and supported to make a meaningful contribution to their shared community, however small.
We tailor our care to the individual, focusing on what each resident can do and aim to maintain physical wellbeing by encouraging mobility and independence with gentle activities and exercise. All our staff receive recognised training in dementia awareness and behaviours that challenge. This way we can promote a sense of positive wellbeing, inclusion and acceptance, whilst treating each individual in a person centred way.

Woodroffe Benton House is a CQC registered home for residential care offering accommodation for up to 24 men and women who require some assistance with personal care and other day to day tasks. The Care Team aims to provide individualised care to each resident based on their own strengths and needs.
The Day Centre was opened 4 years ago as it was highlighted that there was a shortage of social facilities for the elderly to visit during the day. We are based on the lower floor of the large house (Hoyland House) within the lovely grounds of Ifield Park Care Home which has been a successful care home for over 60 years.

Initially the CH (Mum was in Ellwood) seemed a homely place for Mum to be but sadly as the weeks went on I noticed occurrences that concerned me. We therefore withdrew Mum and are looking elsewhere.
The majority of the staff were very caring and enjoyed their caring role.
I would not recommend this CH.
I must add that the Day Centre is excellent.

Awful 'care' home. If you love your relative this is not the place for them. Staff didn't respond to residents, residents spend their days sleeping it seemed, staff talk about other residents in front of visitors and residents, not enough to drink......I could go on.
My lovely nan was a resident in the dementia home but has thankfully been removed now. Check the CQC for reports on care homes if you want the best for your loved one, don't just send them somewhere for your convenience!
