All original stained glass panels can be encapsulated into double glazed units. This process involves preparing the glass by soldering a y-shape edge lead around the panel that will hold it in the centre of the unit. If needing any repairs, broken or cracked pieces are, therefore, matched and replaced.
Traditional designs can transform the character of your home back to its original beauty. Clients can choose from a large range of glass colours and textures and all work is produced to the highest quality using traditional hand-craft techniques. Bespoke designs can also create personal and individual features to any age of home reflecting your unique taste and style.
Many repairs can be fixed in-situ providing the lead is in good condition. It is also possible to completely re-lead old panels if they have become too bowed or damaged. John came and repaired 4 of our stained glass windows and front door. We were so impressed with the service, the repairs look completely seamless. Really delighted with the results and John saved a window we thought we may have to get rid of. By far the best in the area, and John was really lovely to deal with. John did such a great job with the stained glass. We had three original panels in the front porch that were coated in paint that he cleaned up really well and encased and then matches the new panels (4) perfectly. Really happy with the work completed and John was a pleasure to deal with also. Thanks!

I couldn’t recommend Knutsford Stained glass enough. We moved into a Victorian semi detached house in May and I couldn’t wait to get rid of the UPVC door and replace it with wooden stained glass door. I wanted the wow factor with this door and I got it! It was everything I’d hoped for and more. Worth every single penny. I hope we now never move as I’d want to take the door with me haha. I really couldn’t recommend John enough he came to our house 3-4 times. He explained different glass panels and drew up different designs and patterns. The process of designing our own front door was fun

Highly Recommended. Good stained glass specialists are hard to come by. Thankfully John @ Knutsford Stained Glass was just down the road from me.
John replaced my strained glass door window with a new custom pattern of a Yorkshire Rose. Colours were consulted. The design and build was perfect. Installation took no more than hour and the finish was really tidy!
Neighbors and postman commented on how nice the door looked.

Excellent service. John is very careful on discussing requirements and the work was completed on schedule to an extremely high standard. We are delighted with the work carried out, it really is a work of art which totally exceeded our expectations.
