Services
Our sole aim is to make you better and to enable you to continue the activities you enjoy. ACTIVE VIII is a privately owned Centre of Excellence for Physiotherapy which has built its reputation on the range and quality of services it provides. People are living longer and busier lives than ever before, so it's not surprising we occasionally need a helping hand to stay in good working order.
No matter what your problem, whether you have simply sprained your ankle, twisted your back or are recovering from surgery or illness, help is at hand from ACTIVE VIII. We offer a wide range of Physiotherapy treatments for all musculo-skeletal problems. Providing a holistic approach, these treatments are usually used in combination and are tailored to your individual needs.
Active VIII's philosophy is to systematically look at the cause of your injury, clinically diagnosis your problem, provide you with immediate treatment and rehabilitation to alleviate your symptoms, improve your performance and to reduce injury risk and rate by improving how you move. We know that improved movement control, balance, strength power, endurance, speed and coordination will lead to improved performance and lifestyle.
Sports physiotherapy combines the expertise of a Chartered Physiotherapist, with sports specific knowledge and the biomechanical approach of a sports scientist. Our Sports Physiotherapists have undertaken additional qualifications to achieve this level. Active VII has elite Sports Physiotherapists at Olympic, GB, England and/or Club level.
We provide a specialist evidence based biomechanical profiling and gait analysis service to determine the cause of your musculoskeletal problems. Pain slows us down and makes our bodies feel unnatural and awkward. As a result of pain, we adopt abnormal postures and develop adverse compensatory motions in other parts of the body when undertaking normal activities such as walking and running.
