Very nice hotel - clean and friendly with everything you need in the rooms including tea and coffee facilities. Food also great for dinner and breakfast. Only difficulty was finding where to enter the hotel to check in as it was at the back, through another hotels entrance.

Visited in the midst of a VERY hot spell during 2020 (one of the rare occasions we were all let out that year!!)
The weather was as warm as the welcome; friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit of a problem as the premises doesn't have much frontage (in common with the area) but we managed to squeeze on. Inside, the building is by and large well kept.....it DOES have a period feel and smell to it as you would expect from such an old building but we like this! Don't expect aircon and the like; this is a guest house, not a hotel. Given the heat of that weekend it WAS fairly stuffy BUT it was an exceptional

Really great guest house, the facilities you'd expect, but fantastic down-to-earth service which you wouldn't expect. A real pleasant surprise; it was like staying with friends rather than saying at a hotel. Martin was the perfect host and really accommodating, without anything seeking too much trouble...
