Established in 1990 by our directors, Denver & Joanna Thornton, it was from small beginnings & a vastly different enterprise from todays established company. Initially working from home, with only their experience of 10 years previously working for Denver's fathers company to draw upon, it was the imminent arrival of their first child that cemented the decision to form their own company.
It was not long before that, first an initial staff was established, together with a small vehicle fleet, then the company's first premises in Bolton were purchased giving the business a greater profile in the town.

Here at Diamond Flooring we pride ourselves on our friendly approach, reliability and quality of work. We offer a full in house programme, from an initial flooring enquiry through to on site surveys and final installation.
Denver started the business 24 years ago, having previously worked for his Father from leaving school. After attending CITB training course in Salford he wanted to establish his own company based upon his skills learnt over 8 years in the trade.
His role is now involved in many aspects of the company, including health & safety (NEBOSH Level 2 Attainment in Occupational H & S) estimating, contract planning, marketing, personnel, technical & company policy decisions.His hands on approach & experience in every aspect of the business provides the skills & know how which set the company apart in being able to adapt quickly to the needs of the client & end users.

In recent years the company has focused more on health & safety, in-particular with regard to training, equipment & resources, this in turn has nurtured a focus within the company of the need to operate in a safe system of work. The emphasis on health & safety is instilled from the Directors through all levels of the company to Apprentices & even on to our supply chain to make sure that all our activity is led by a safety first culture.

I have nothing positive to stay about this company. I would not recommend or use them again. They did a sub standard job and took months to come and repair it. Then had the audacity to charge a call out fee to fix the repair whilst at the same time repairing a section of damaged flooring (our fault damage). When the fee for the repair was challenged (in that I asked for a breakdown), the Director Denver started to shout at me down the phone and was rude to me. He would not provide a breakdown.
