Helen opened Charizma over 20 years ago after travelling and working for a worldwide company. Helen is an innovator and a perfectionist which she demonstrates in the hair she creates for her clients, her work is an inspiration. Avoid this salon at all costs if you have thick curly hair. Helen reassured me that she could manage my hair and give me a cut that would hang well. Despite this the cut was the worst cut I’ve ever had. I left the salon looking awful with a puffy pyramid head. I went back a couple of days later to explain that I was dissatisfied with the cut and felt upset. Despite my hair looking hideous Helen was completely dismissive of me and had a very off hand manner.

Recently had a cut and Kerastraight treatment carried out by Leigh. To say I am over the moon is an understatement! I walked out of the salon absolutely loving my hair. I've waited a few days to post a review… as I wanted to wash and style my hair myself first. I wanted to see if the Kerastraight had lived up to its promises of making hair easier to dry/style, keeping hair frizz free and making hair healthier. The treatment comes with a hefty price tag but is worth every penny. Leigh did an amazing job and I love the cut. I'm sure she had a magic wand and not a scissors 😂 Thank you

Helen knows what I need before I do. she's an absolute perfectionist and so focused on getting the right cut for you. Its my second visit and I can't see me going anywhere else. I've had so many compliments since going there. There's no waiting around your appointment time is what you've booked it for . highly recommended.
