Sarah's passion with the hair industry began eighteen years ago. The foundations of her career began in a prestigious award winning five-star salon in Swansea at Lara Johnson Lifestyle. After gaining all qualifications, her experiences were broadened further which culminated in her working and travelling aboard luxury cruise ships.

On return from her travels, she then went on to work at Guy Christian hair salon in Cardiff Bay. Here she managed a large team of staff for the past 4 years. The ethos of Kalon is to create and nurture beautiful hair and styles while being completely mindful of our planet and it's wildlife. Therefore our approach will be to use only natural, eco-friendly and animal-friendly products.

Coral did a fantastic job on my hair. Had it dyed professionally for the first time and love how it looks! Wanted some subtle reddy and blonde hints - can’t wait to go a bit bolder next time!

This was my second ever visit, and even though the first time was a success too, this time I HAVE to leave a review. Lara is a miracle worker. I came in with a mini disaster cut and she took the time to talk to me & help me understand what was happening all through the cut and the end result was fantastic. I can’t thank you enough! Like other reviewers have mentioned, the atmosphere is friendly and down to Earth, it feels like a mini spa vacation. Can’t wait to come back 💙

Such a gorgeous salon with gorgeous products!! I had the most amazing colour ever from Tom - I was planning on moving to Canada but now I can’t be without his colouring skills. Lara gave me exactly what I wanted cut wise and taught me how to style it at home

Went to Kalon today for the first time for a cut and colour. The salon is obviously a labour of love for Sarah and the team - the atmosphere is welcoming and calm, they use organic products, and they took time to listen to my wishes. I was very happy with the result. Highly recommended - thanks!

Sarah and Tom transformed my wild hair day into a soft and shiny head of hair ! The products smell wonderful and leave your hair feeling revived. It’s alsi great to have car parking so conveniently placed and the first two hours are free !! Win ! Win !
