Services
M-Tech Engineering Ltd are specialist engineers and suppliers of bespoke staircases, balustrade, bannisters and furniture to both the private and commercial sectors. Our staircases are constructed from a variety of materials such as steel, glass, timber and are at the forefront of staircase design in both a contemporary and traditional look.
Our process starts with a consultation with our expert team. We then design a bespoke staircase to meet your exact specifications, using the latest in 3D CAD Design Software. We offer a bespoke tailor made service from design consultation and value engineering, through to 3D modelling. We design, manufacture and install all of our staircases with as little outsourcing as possible, in order to ensure a top-quality finish.
By supporting the staircase in a way that conceals all the fixings, a cantilevered design certainly has the wow-factor and also adds an element of intrigue around how and what is holding it up. The cantilevered staircase manages to be minimalist while at the same time creating a massive impact.

Obviously, the material you choose will have an impact on the way in which the staircase is supported, with some materials such as chunky timber and stone being heavier than others.Your material choice will also have an effect on what the staircase will cost - timber tends to be cheaper than those made from glass, although the timber you choose will determine by how much.
We often find there's a misunderstanding of what makes spiral staircases and helical stairs. Given the vast majority of staircases are generally straight, many people refer to any set of stairs with a curve or winding steps as a simple spiral. But while helical and spiral staircases are similar, there are some key differences to look out for when identifying which is which.
Whether you are looking for a staircase as part of a new build project or as part of the renovation of an existing building, you will need to comply with the UK Building Regulations. It is, of course, advisable to get expert advice on how your plans might need to be adjusted to meet all current standards.
