We deliver physiotherapist led Pilates in Manchester city centre and Liverpool city centre that produces positive results to meet our client's individual needs and goals. Physiolates is a popular service run by our highly experienced physiotherapists in Manchester and Liverpool. We provide private and group Pilates sessions in your home, your work and at our studios in Manchester City Centre and Liverpool city centre.

Our friendly therapists tailor your Pilates experience to suit your needs and achieve your own personal goals. Pilates is a form of exercise designed to increase muscle strength and flexibility in order to decrease pain, improve posture and overall muscle tone. The exercises focus on the development of deep core muscle strength to give you a strong central base for movement and function - enhancing both day-to-day and sporting activity.

We believe in always putting the needs of our clients first. We listen to every clients individual goals and strive to create a personal Pilates programme to ensure their goals are achieved. Our instructors are passionate about Pilates and this is evident during all sessions. They are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with clients to help them achieve their goals and maximise their potential during and after each Pilates session.
Pilates is a low impact exercise regime which makes it suitable and beneficial for most people. Physiolates is a well-developed service ran by highly qualified physiotherapists and sports therapists to bring 1:1Pilates sessions and Pilates group classes to you. Pilates is an excellent form of exercise designed to increase your core stability muscles.
Our pre and post natal Pilates classes are run by our experienced physiotherapists who are specially trained. The Pilates Pros Pilates classes aim to build on the foundation of deep core strength you have developed. Our Pilates for New & Improving class is ideal for those who are new to the Pilates concept.
A: If you have them to hand and have had any recent surgery or complex musculoskeletal problems it would be useful for your therapist to see scan results or medical notes. If you don't have any copies of scans or medical notes don't worry, Pilates will be adapted to suit you and your needs after your therapist has taken a detailed history from you.

My main hobby is running but I have suffered with a few injuries in recent years and so decided to improve my strength training alongside my running training. A physio recommended I started Pilates and so a few months ago I started one-to-one classes with Kate Hindley once a week at Physiolates.
I've found Kate to be a really excellent, encouraging and knowledgeable teacher who listens to my specific injuries and niggles and tailors our sessions to suit. She pushes me on the exercises, working up gradually in intensity / fatigue, but only to a level which enables me to do the exercises with the

Pilates with Kate has literally kept me going through lockdown! I started at the beginning in March and have only missed a couple of weeks since. I originally started to build strength after a long illness and it has certainly helped me do that! It works great on Zoom and Kate describes instructions for the positions, having not been to a class before in person I haven't found it's hindered me. Thanks for running them, it's really been great both mentally and physically.

Kate's online Physiolates classes have helped keep me going, both physically and mentally, through a year of on-off lockdowns! I'd done pilates classes in person before (including Physiolates at the Liverpool site), and have found the at-home classes work very well. Kate talks through each exercise as well as demonstrating clearly on screen, and there's always a variety of options for different levels of experience / ability. Having had back problems in the past I've found pilates great for looking after my body better, and this is a great way to do it without having to leave the house.

I started attending Kate's pilates classes in 2015 and have to say that the last 11 months via zoom have been just as challenging as they were before lockdown. It’s been nearly 2 years I have been attending the classes following suffering from lower back pain due to sitting countless hours at my desk.
Physiolates has been life-changing, great sessions, improving mobility, strengthening core muscles, generally keeping fit and reducing stress :)
Kate is an excellent instructor, talks through the exercises in detail, offers mixed ability sessions, options to challenge ourselves. Exercises change from class to class so I never get bored.
I particularly appreciate that Physiolates has kept the classes going via Zoom since restrictions were introduced

Attend physiolates to help with muscle tightness in my back. Very kind and friendly staff and great facilities. Well run sessions with knowledgeable physios. My back is often much better after a session and i have fun whilst doing it. I often have classes with Kate or Alicia both of whom are brilliant at what they do, the enthusiasm for their job really comes through in the sessions

I’ve been coming to Pilates with Kate for a number of years. She is an absolutely fantastic teacher. The sessions are always different and never boring. She’s really good at motivating you and her knowledge is exceptional - you have real confidence in her. The Pilates has also helped my back problems considerably. Thanks Kate!

Great classes with Kate Hindley at Physiolates at St John Street. Kate is very knowledgeable and helpful in you getting the exercises right. Varying workout keeps the classes interesting and ensures to train all parts of the body already showing results after a couple of weeks only.

Due to the nature of my job I needed to increase my core strength to improve my posture and to prevent future back problems. Pilates was recommended and Stacey was the perfect instructor for this. Under her instruction I feel stronger and my overall posture has improved. She was professional but friendly and made the classes fun to attend. Thank you Stacey.
