Our journey began in 2005 when we converted our spare bedroom in our apartment on Belfast's Lisburn Road into a catering kitchen. Back then Carberry Catering was a Belfast catering start-up called 'Lettuce Deliver' and delivered sandwiches to offices in the local area. On our very first day of trading, we sat eagerly by the phone, beside the thirty three loaves that we had ordered awaiting the deluge of phone calls we were expecting.

We also cater for small and large private functions and events such as birthdays, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, christenings and funerals. Our extensive and perfectly presented range of platters and buffets are delivered on time and on budget via our efficient and helpful team.

I visit Cafe Carberry at least once a month and have done so for at least 5 years. There's more coffee shops in the vicinity now but they're all corporate clones or a bit down at heel so I've stuck with the good one. Coffee is made exactly as requested, even if you're looking something unusual. Once the staff get to know you they offer "the usual", given the large number of customers this is impressive.

A little hidden gem in the CBD. The best toasties, salads, sandwiches, filled sodas, scones, tray bakes and of course.. COFFEE! We would highly recommend Cafe Carberry to anyone in the area for a nice bite to eat and a hot drink. The staff are lovely, the queue moves quickly, the food is great. What more could you ask for?

As it's near the courts Cafe Carberry is a refuelling point for the legal fraternity and other business types who are working around this part of the city. If you don't happen to work nearby it's not really worth a special visit except to get away from the usual city centre places for a change of scene during the lunch hour. They serve the usual sandwiches and cafe fare which I'll try out maybe next time I want a change of scene.
