Here at Thatcham MOT & Service Centre we would always suggest on servicing your vehicle on a regular basis. We have various options of servicing to suit all cars and budgets. Servicing your vehicle is important to reduce your costs of repairs in the future, less chance of accidents, peace of mind reducing the risks of breakdowns and the possibility of greater fuel economy.
Cars and vans over three years old must by law pass a yearly MOT test to show they are roadworthy. A registration plate problem. For example, the plate used the incorrect type face/spacing, or was dirty or missing all together. If you have a personalised plate, make sure it follows DVLA rules. Stickers on the windscreen blocking the drivers view.
Routine maintenance prevents malfunctions, increases performance and fuel economy, and lengthens the life of your car or van. The best garage I’ve come across by far!
I’d been battling to even get someone to look at my non runner van.
After a month of trying other places I then popped by Thatcham MOT & Service centre and Nigel couldn’t have been more welcoming! A very genuine and trustworthy mechanic, which seems to be gold dust!
I dropped the Van off one evening after closing time and got a call a day and a bit later from Nigel saying it was fixed and MOT’d within two days! For a very reasonable price as well!
Nigel and his team delivered a top class service and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend

Took my car for MOT. It failed, took it back for re test next day and they didn't even touch car, said a light was on (it was not when i drove it there or drove it back home). Decided not to go back for a 3rd time so took to another garage and passed straight away. Other garage said that a lot of advisorys were very critical and didn't really apply. Wasn't very impressed with the service I received.

I have been using Thatcham MOT and Service Centre for my car MOT and Service for 3 years now and have always received excellent and friendly service. After my MOT and Service in April I had to have new tyres fitted to the back wheels and ever since have had an intermittent knocking coming from the back passenger’s side but only on dual carriageways and motorways. I contacted Glenn and he booked me in for a test drive with Rob and just to prove me wrong my car did not make the sound! What a marvellous team they are here.
I have been extremely well looked after from the minute I showed interest in part exchanging my car through to the purchase. (no pushy sales routines involved)
The after care provided by Glenn in the servicing department is second to none, his customer service is outstanding, he’s obliging in finding a convenient slot to work around my work hours and the fact that I am not in the area he also provides me with a courtesy car. (He even makes a great cup of tea)!
The workmanship is great and I can’t thank the whole team enough for their friendly yet professional

I have a small collection of cars, all of which I love, and have entrusted them to CCS for several years now. Glenn is always welcoming and almost as enthusiastic about my classic motors as I am. I can always book a slot that is convenient to me (although they don't MOT on Saturdays, at the time of this post). I trust the mechanics here. I always feel I get honest advice and since I know a fair bit about my own cars, can vouch for it too. Their prices are reasonable and they provide a high quality of work.

I have been using this garage for quite a few years now, always had brilliant customer service and when I have had any issues with my car, they try their best to fit you in ASAP and help you in anyway that they can. I have just recommended my husband to go there for an MOT and he was also very happy with the service and most of all the cost.

We have used this garages for many years. I would recommend them to anyone {& do so on a regular basis!). They are always wonderfully efficient & only ever do the work required. I have found them to help at a minutes notice in an emergency. My whole family bring their cars for MOT's, repairs & services to Glenn & the team. We have also bought cars over the years from the car sales. Cannot praise them enough for their work & knowledge.

I rang up to get my car booked in for a service and MOT (expecting like most service centres to have to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment). Glenn was extremely helpful and accommodating and let me pick any day that suited me (that week!). I ended up having to change the day due to work commitments and this was no bother.
