Founder Jenny Wildi built a gym she'd like to join: a boutique gym with the right equipment, a friendly atmosphere and great classes, top quality trainers and a real sense of community. This is it. Personal Training and Boot Camp fitness classes are an important part of what we do. We have an individual approach to give you the right amount of help for your needs, whether that means a one-to-one every session or no help from us at all.

You can come and visit us to have a look around and discuss your needs with no cost and no obligation to join. We have a lovely outdoor space at our Gym which we use whenever the weather is good, with rubber matted outside area, tyres, a rig, and a wood chip track to jog around.
Services
We are convinced that joining a regular class is the key to long-term fitness commitment for many people. And we're so sure you'll love our classes we're giving you the chance to try out our classes for a month - for free. As all of our classes are instructed by our Personal Trainers, you'll also get a chance to get to know them and their different styles.
We have the facilities you need and more for your exercise routines in a unique indoor/outdoor centre. We have a full range of equipment, primarily Life Fitness, but also a Wattbike and Concept 2 rowers. 2 Treadmills, 1 Stairmill, 1 Summit stepper, 3 Crosstrainers, 1 Wattbike Pro, 1 upright bike, 2 Concept 2 rowers.
You do not have to be a member of the gym to do Personal Training sessions with us. Apart from sessions included with a membership, personal training sessions are arranged with our individual trainers, who are all qualified professionals of long standing with the gym. Having a lifelong struggle with weight management herself, Jenny Wildi has been researching weight loss since the 1970s, and qualified as a weight loss specialist personal trainer in 2012. Since then her courses and training have helped people reassess their nutrition as well as their fitness regimen to help lose fat and find a permanent solution to the problem of weight management.
Dieters will find over time that they seem to be restricting their eating but gaining weight. Are they right? Such a simple exercise. Hardly ever performed correctly. I was going over pushups in my core class, and I thought I'd share what we covered. There are a number of things that go wrong with press-ups.

I have been with this gym for a year now, very accommodating and friendly, my wife and daughter are both doing well here as well. Whatever time we come here always a good atmosphere, the gym is kept clean and is well equipped. Classes are very good. Pt's are all good / helpful. Also just finished a fat loss club that was successful for all that took part. All in all very, very pleased.

Capel Gym has been treated to my presence for 11 years now. Eleven! How did that happen!? Quite simply it’s because the staff, equipment, classes and ambiance are totally ‘me’, and anyone else for that matter, at a time when many gym franchises are just ‘nope’ . My passion for canicross (trail running attached to a dog or two) coupled with issues that limit my training mileage means I benefit physically and mentally from strength and core work in the gym. Capel Gym provides such a super environment, equipment and knowledgeable staff that I genuinely don’t know how 11 years have passed

Great independent gym with a huge variety of top quality kit. Friendly and knowledgeable trainers available for sessions at all times of day and plenty of classes to choose from. Would recommend Capel Gym to anyone from gym newbies to competing athletes.

As a disabled person gyms can be intimidating places. With Capel Gym I always feel welcome. Staff are excellent and I feel challenged but always safe. In my personal training sessions, staff have been knowledgeable and together we worked on key points. I would always recommend Bodymission.

It's my local gym so why go anywhere else? But it's also good enough to pull people in from afar. A friendly atmosphere, excellent instructors, a varied programme of classes and all the equipment you'll need. Plus, the setting is unbeatable: extensive outside space and specialist equipment for exercising in the fresh air. 7 years and counting as a happy member.

As a non gym person, I started coming around three or four years ago. It's a great gym - never queue for equipment, friendly staff, classes and local too. Thoroughly recommend to anyone.

I am about to rejoin this gym after several years of a absence, for varying reasons, as it is “simply the best”
The equipment offered is varied and excellent, the atmosphere is friendly and professional at the same time - and most importantly there is always somebody around to help or give advise!
