Services
GDS is based in Warrington but offers lesson services up to a radius of 20 miles from the centre. We will always try to accomodate you, so request a call back and we can talk through a lesson plan to suit your needs. As safety breeds confidence, all our vehicles are fitted with dual controls.
They allow your instructor to intervene if a problem occurs but allow you, from the start, to take proper control of the vehicle in a safe and relaxed environment.On your first lesson your instructor will work on familiarisation. You will start on quiet roads, so that you feel confident enough to take the wheel, soon you will progress under the direction and guidance of your instructor.

However, you can apply for the licence up to three months before your 17th birthday. If you apply for your provisional licence before you are 17, you will still have to wait until your birthday before you can take your Theory test, but it does not stop you getting prepared. You can apply for you provisional by post.
You will need to PASS your Theory and Hazard Perception Test at the same time, before, you can apply for your Practical Test. You will need a valid provisional driving licence to take your theory test and you can book your theory and hazard perception tests online. To pass you must answer 43 or more questions correctly within 57 minutes.
At the start of the Practical Driving Test the examiner will ask 2 "Show Me, Tell Me" questions. These questions, test your knowledge on basic car maintenance and safety. Answer any of these two questions incorrectly and you will gain one driving test fault. You will find all the DSA "Show Me, Tell Me" questions, together with helpful videos explaining the process below.
Your GDS Instructor will let you know when to apply online to book your test, this will be when your skills have reached the correct standard. Therefore ensuring you have the best chance of passing. During your training your GDS Instructor will also take you on realistic mock tests, to give you a true sense of what to expect.
