Bookham Farm is a 650 acre Dorset farm that has been in the Foot family since the mid 1800's, six generations. It is predominantly a Beef and Arable farm, with 4 luxury holiday cottages - Bookham Court. In 2001 the redundant farm buildings at Bookham Farm were sympatheticaly converted into self catering holiday cottages with a games room and fishing lake.
Bookham Court is situated off the B3143, 9 miles north of Dorchester and 12 miles south of Sherborne. From the south turn right 0.75 miles out of Alton Pancras and from the north turn left a mile out of Buckland Newton (at the Bookham Court and Farmhouse Accommodation signs). Crowthorne Cottage is situated on the second bend.

A 25% deposit is requested by debit or credit card via our 'Free to book' booking system, with the balance payable 42 days before arrival. If you prefer not to book on line, please contact us and we will make arrangements. You may also pay by BACs or cheque if you prefer.

The cottage has spectacular views of the Dorset countryside across Thomas Hardy's Blackmore Vale, from where you can watch the deer under the wood, the Highland cows in the field, the owl box and the Heron on the lake!
Great Coombe boasts wonderful views over the surrounding Dorset countryside. Sit on the patio or the balcony and watch the wildlife without leaving the cottage. Guests regularly see owls, deer, badgers, foxes, Canada geese and other birds from the comfort of this holiday cottage. Great Coombe cottage has a spacious sitting room with French windows onto the patio, wooden floors, Inglenook fireplace, wood burner and underfloor heating.
