Established in 1994, Chalgrave Manor Golf Club had a clear objective. Bring a fresh and vibrant attitude to golf club membership. Keep the good bits and junk the old fashioned and snobbish attitudes that still prevail in golf today.
That ethos still holds, we have a dynamic and energetic club membership today, with club competitions regularly exceeding 100 entries and a wide range of club sections and club teams as well as the usual social golfing groups to extend your golfing friendships in.Our staff work immensely hard to facilitate that philosophy.

Services
Dropping 35 metres from top to bottom, the course with countless doglegs, sloped fairways and greens, large areas dividing holes, the course presents a challenge to all standards of golfer, with wide fairways for the higher handicapper, but demanding precision placement and careful course management for the low handicapper to score well.
Chalgrave Manor Golf Club opened for play in 1994. Our Membership deals are absolutely second to none. Memberships run Annually from when you join, giving you a full 12 months of membership whatever date you join from. The following section provides an explanation of each type of membership that is available.
We offer a warm welcome to Societies and other Groups and will do everything we can to make your visit to Chalgrave an enjoyable experience. Our aim is to make your day successful. Society organisers and golfers regularly return to enjoy Chalgrave and we host many Captains Away Days, corporate events and charity fund raising days during the season.

Nice club. Good fairways. Some tee positions close and confusing. Some greens damaged by tracks. But should be better as the grass grows. The signs on each tee box were the smallest I have ever come across and it would help navigation if a larger sign with the Tee number was visible at each tee box!

A very good course for the price point. As a golfer who has played everything from council owned courses to open championship courses, it's definitely worth a round for the mix of price and quality.
The course itself is a good mixture of long and straight par 5s and tricky short par 3s.
It's elevation change through the 18 holes definitely gives you a workout and challenges your distance control playing into the greens.
Fairways were perfectly maintained and the greens, although a tad spongey, were in great condition with only a couple suffering from bare patches.
The only other negative point

The entrance is a far cry from dazzling, the club house is a prefab 70s working mans club(built in the 90s!?) however the staff are always friendly and helpful. The members do not like letting you through, can be quite comical watching them rushing/mishitting their shots though!. Course is very good/challenging except for a couple of badly designed holes, the greens are very poor on the whole and are now almost impossible to putt on with a fungus problem, it’s also hit or miss how deep the semi rough plays, be prepared to lose balls that you’ve watched land.....safely! A lot better courses
