Stayed at West Cottage earlier in early October, for a dog show.
It was so relaxing and welcoming after such a terrible year settled in a beautiful location and views.
Weather was not kind but the home made warm scones on arrival and the open fire made everything just right.
Really well equipped cottage, very clean we had a lovely time – just wish we had been able to stay longer.

Amazing place, brilliant owners and showcasing the character of the area. All the ingredients you need to create a truly fantastic holiday. Our friends loved it, our dog loved it, we loved it!The walks are great and there are numerous choices of where to go and where to visit. A perfect ABC menu.(Yes, I know it sounds corny but it’s still true)

Lovely, relaxing break in the peaceful Scottish Borders. Cottage had all we needed for a very comfortable stay, beds and bedrooms were very spacious and the lounge, with its open coal fire, made our evenings homely and cosy. Easy access by car into Kelso and ideal for trips to hills, coast and other local towns and attractions.Very welcoming host (the tea and delicious rock cakes on arrival after our long journey were much appreciated) and everything was COVID compliant. Heartily recommended.

Only a short stay for three nights but no less enjoyable than previous visits since first Discovering the cottages in 2007. All immaculately presented and Sue`s attention to detail is first class, nothing is left out. From the warm open fire , to the home made buns , wonderful views from the cottages it is just a joy. Peace and quiet reigns and there are plenty of attractions and lovely little towns to explore on the doorstep. Hope my next visit isn't too far away.

Wonderful stay at Hendersyde East Cottage! So well equipped, very clean, extremely comfortable and very cosy. The views from the cottages are amazing, and the garden is beautiful with raspberries and black and red currant bushes too, which we picked for our breakfast! So peaceful and very relaxing. Out and about, everyone we met has been very friendly and welcoming as lockdown eases. We've had a super stay and really looking forward to returning in August. Thank you so much Sue for your wonderful hospitality!

Another fab time at Hendersyde!!!
No matter how many times we return (25 years approx), we always find something new - walks and wildlife and surrounding attractions. Cottages always cosy and welcoming after a long day’s adventure! Hot water and heating super efficient. Short drive and walk from Kelso racecourse & town centre.
Was greeted by 4 deer every day, whilst walking the fields with our dog.
Going to miss it but we’ll be back next year for sure!

We love the cottages and have stayed many times with our dogs. Such a wonderful, quiet place with south facing gardens and views of farmland. Sue is a fantastic hostess and does us proud every time.
