Windmill Dental Care's mission is to provide the highest quality life time dental care in a professional, caring and welcoming environment. At its heart we are a family practice who has provided personalised care for over 25 years. Our aim is to treat each patient with dignity, respect, kindness and understanding, while striving to understand your needs and exceed your expectations.

Whether you are looking for a dental surgery who is registering new patients or you have broken tooth, missing filling or toothache and wish an "emergency dental appointment" we are here to help. We genuinely do care! Patients often search for a "dentist near me" however while we are based in Motherwell we have excellent access for all by road (just of the M74) and rail (Motherwell and Airbles Road train stations).
Services
Our team members work together to deliver the highest standards of dentistry and customer satisfaction in a caring and honest manner. We are a family friendly, welcoming and understanding team who will care for all your dental needs. Our dentists are highly experienced and most of our staff have been with us for many years providing continuity and excellence in care.
At Windmill Dental Care we are fully committed to providing a caring and relaxing atmosphere in a comfortable setting. We believe the practice should be fitted to a standard that reflects our commitment to our patients and aim to continually upgrade our facilities. We have recently undertaken a full refurbishment of our practice refitting the surgeries, waiting rooms, toilet areas, infection control room and reception.
Your first visit is very important because it is the opportunity for you to meet the dentist and the dental team. We firmly believe in the motto, 'prevention is better than cure' and we are committed to providing our patients with excellent standards of preventative and general dental care. Windmill Dental Care has been a family practice for over 50 years with Dr McIntyre arriving in 1995.
I graduated from the University of Glasgow after moving over from Northern Ireland and completed my vocational training in a practice also in Glasgow. I joined Windmill Dental Care in 2018 and have dedicated my career to caring for patients in general practice. I strive to keep up to date with modern dentistry, regularly taking courses and am committed to continuing professional development.
I graduated from Dundee University in 2011 and worked in the Grampian region before moving to Musselburgh. I worked in Musselburgh gaining a broad knowledge of general dental practice for 9 years before moving to Windmill Dental Care. My area of interest in dentistry is Restorative Dentistry and I have completed further training on the latest orthodonitc techniques.

Waited months due to Covid to get seen at this practise and well worth the wait. I am quite nervous getting injections etc but I was put at ease and made feel really secure and comfortable. Highly recommend. Thanks to all the staff but especially Dr Mackle

After months of suffering during lockdown I was so grateful to be seen by Dr McIntyre. The staff were genuinely welcoming, despite the obvious concerns they no doubt have regarding their own health and wellbeing. I had personally been shielding for several months so was very apprehensive about facing the world again. No such apprehension however once inside the surgery. Staff were in full PPE and every precaution is in place. Not to appear patronising but well done to all the staff for their hard work. It didn't go unnoticed.

Excellent service and care. As a new patient to this practice I was treated very well from intial checkup to my treatment, at which Dr McInyre and Rachel went the extra mile for me. Thank you very much. Would highly recommend.

Just been to Windmill Dental Practise today after a break with COVID. All staff are so friendly and professional and well organised more so with COVID. The young man who is a new Dentist was a credit in his professionalism , he gave my teeth and mouth a very thorough checkup and informed me on the importance of brushing and allowing toothpaste to remain on our teeth. Very personable, knowledgable and skilled young man.. I'm always nervous going to dentist but I soon felt at ease and I knew I was in capable, caring hands...And the well done to the Dental Hygienist and the Receptionist too. A very

I'm a very nervous and anxious patient, I'm terrified of needles in my mouth and moved to this practice to see what they were like, my dentist is Mary Kate and she is absolutely amazing! She made me feel so at ease and made my treatment as comfortable as possible! The only downside to the practice has got to be Courtney on reception on all occasions whether phone or face to face I have found her very abrupt and rude!

I was in an accident and unfortunately my front tooth got broke, after years of attending the orthodontist and having braces I was devastated and never thought I would have the same smile again.
Throughout the process the staff at Windmill practice where supportive and helped fit me in when suitable around my working hours and even for a last minute appointment.
I had very little dental treatment before this as I only attended every 6 month for a routine check up and clean the staff helped to reassure me and keep me calm as well as explaining each step of the process. and also the costs.

I hate having to go to a dentist (too many visits as a kid), but a friend advised me to go to Windmillhill, and I'm so glad he did. Dr McIntyre was so calming and professional throughout my treatment Staff were all great. I'm not saying I'll be looking forward to my next treatment, who does, but I certainly have no fears.
