Raymond was born and brought up in nearby Hamilton and graduated in dentistry from Glasgow University in 1985 with distinction passes in Medical Chemistry and Dental Technology and Materials Science. After 7 years in practice Raymond set up the Village Dental Surgery in 1993 with one dental nurse. Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic now employs 14 members of staff and provides a comprehensive dental service.

Staff so friendly and cheerful obviously happy at work could not have been nicer and Mr Murphy is a top class dentist usually I am terrified of dentist but Mr Murphy so relaxed and was great explained absolutely everything completely no pressure I will definitely be back just happy to have been to the dentist and I never thought I would say that

I am currently going through intense work on my teeth and tbh I have dreamed of having beautiful teeth for years & years but I did not think I could put myself through it all.
Colin & his girls have made it bearable & I am so glad I decided to go ahead with it.
It’s not all completed yet but I am delighted I can smile again after years of being so self conscious & upset about my teeth
So yeah I recommend you do it 200%

Highly recommended Bothwell Dental and Implant Clinic. Colin and all the staff were fabulous during my treatment...given that I'm the biggest dentist feerty ever. Every single step was explained clearly and I even turned up for all of my treatment appointments...a big step for me. The overall result was amazing -just a shame you can't see it behind my mask! 😷

Despite being a challenging case for Mr Murphy & his team, I have had a positive experience from the start and ongoing. This is in stark contrast to my previous dental experiences and made such a difference to me whereby I no longer dread dental appointments and for the first time ever, I love my smile.

I would just like to thank Mr Murphy again for his wonderful treatment . I have been a patient for 13 years now and had various treatments over the years all carried out with care and professionalism. Every single one of the staff are fantastic and always make me feel welcome and at ease . Fantastic practice which I thoroughly recommend.

Before I moved to Bothwell I had always considered just going ahead and getting cosmetic dentistry, but I was never 100% satisfied with the dentists I had met and with my dental phobia it just never happened. Then I met Raymond and the team at Bothwell Dental Care. He instantly reassured me and after showing me some of his previous work I took the… plunge and went ahead with it. When I had spoken with dentists up in Aberdeen, their first questions were always about the money. When I spoke to Raymond he just asked what he could do to give me the smile I wanted. I was also able to get sedation
