I took my Fiat Panda for an MOT test today. The car failed on excessive play in the offside front wheel bearing. I explained to the tester that I had a similar problem with the nearside front wheel bearing and found that the previous owner had been doing some DIY repairs to the car and had not tightened the front hub nut to the correct Setting. The tester offered to remove the wheel and check the hub nut finding the nut had not been tightened correctly he re-tighten the nut free of charge.

This garage is very overpriced and the service very disappointing. I took my new (to me) Volvo S40 to have some work done; new track rods and track rod ends. At reception I asked for the old parts to be returned to me, and this simple task was not acted on. I had to return to the garage for them when I realised the box left in the car was empty. I asked them to adjust my lights but they didn’t do this as apparently, they ran out of time. When I arrived, and when I returned to pick up my car, the mechanic who fixed it was wandering around so I’m not convinced he was too busy. My car was left
